This is very strange- I just got through reading "What is Scientology" and I found the book to be a bit strange in tone; it reads very much like a huge advertising pamphlet except the style is very cold- polished to the point of being almost creepy. Now I look this board up and I'm seeing some people post questions pretty much verbatim from the book - and then others post verbatim answers from that same book. Is this common among Scientologists?

Hi. You'll notice that in my answering the What Is Scientology "questions" found here, I included the URL to the Church of Scientology's web site that has the Questions and Answers site from the book.
The reason those questions were posted here is called "Developed Traffic." It's a form of "nattering," where the false experts are trying to disrupt this forum. As one person put it, it is "spam."
On an amusing note, my answers to the WIS questions were rated the lowest possible, even when they are exactly what the questioner wanted! LOL!
