Hey, i just got to the part in the book where they talk about exteriorizing, can someone really go exterior from dianetic auditing?
desertphile gave this response on 4/25/2000:
"Exteriorization" was Hubbard's word for the disassociated state. Disassociation can be caused by several things: pain, trama, isolation, and drugs being the most common. Autoscopy is also often involved. The chief goal of the Viet Cong in torture was to achieve this disassociation in their prisoners, which left the prisoners malable and open to suggestion.
In Scientology, the quickest was to "exteriorize" is to go without sleep and food, i.e., get sent to the RPF. However, hundreds of hours of "auditing" will achieve the same effect--- especially the "no blink" TRs.
By the way--- the more often one "exteriorizes" (disassociates), the more often they CAN disassociate. It is a form of what's called a "kindled" mental illness. A healthy mind does not "exteriorize" (disassociate) unless it is under trama.

really,I didn't get that from the book and fact Mr. Hubbard seems like he went through great pains to differentiate between the two. I was told you are a freezoner ,if they practice Scientology but not under the church then your comments are contadictory. The fact that you advise others to seek pychiatric help is a surprise. It was my understanding that whether in the church or in the FZ,pychiatry was considered of very little value, another contradiction. just what is it you do in the FZ if all the tech is a bunch of nonsense to you? Can't be much of anything.
