what kind of things can auditing cure?

It will cure your pocket book of its money, and your credit card of its balance. That's about it.

That does not stop the Church of Scientology telling people that auditing can cure diseases. See NOTs 34 for an example. According to Hubbard, auditing can cure colds and asthma and "metal aberations" such as homosexuality.

One Scientology spokeswoman was interviewed by XenuTV (see www.xenutv.com) who insisted Scientology's auditing cured her mother's asthma.
