I only have one critisism: To want everyone to be the same as you is a flawed ideal, buddhist also want the world to be enlightened ( CLEAR ) but we understand there are many pathes to the same goal. buddhist have been clear for 2500 yrs. we share many great similarities. thank you. Always with respect and love.

Scientology teaches that only the Technology discovered by Ron Hubbard will free mankind from this prison planet (Earth). One can certainly remain a Buddhist while working up the Church's Bridge to Total Freedom, but there will be some hard choices one will have to make while climbing.
Scientology teaches that one's soul (called a Thetan in Scientology) reincarnates life time after life time, coming back to Earth a great many times. We have been doing so for 75,000,000 years. The Thetan is immortal and would normally have the ability to free itself from the mortal, physical world, but evil psychiatrists from outer space trap Thetans and send them back to this prison (Earth). Scientology's Technology allows the Thetan to escape being entraped and sent back to Earth, and thus the Technology frees it to exist in Matter, Energy, Space, and Time (MEST).
If one is Buddhist, or a follower of Islam, or a follow of Jesus the Christ, one must make the choice to abandon the teachings of these religions and embrace the Tech of Scientology because the Tech is not compatible with these religion's beliefs and teachings. One will not be told by the Church about this incompatibility until one is well up the Bridge to Total Freedom, so one must ask people who have learned this and are willing to let people know before a person starts up the Bridge.
That is why this forum exists: to educate people and let them make informed decisions about Scientology.
