If I had the power to shut down Gotham Dental, then I would!

I met the main doctor of Gotham Dental, Dr Avo Saumelian in the earlier 2017. I was scheduled for a teeth cleaning and preventive treatment, the procedure went really well. The hygienist behaved well and she was nice to me, she told me that I have good teeth and I should keep doing what I’m doing. Then I was waiting for Dr Avo Saumelian’s dental exam, he was supposed to come at 4:15, however, I had to wait half an hour for him as he arrived at the clinic on 4:45. He did a quick examination and told me that I have 4 cavities, from which, two are serious ones. I told my wife about my experience at Gotham Dental and she got suspicious. I tried to convince her that the dentist was a good man and why would he do anything like a scam. Even after trying to convince her for more than 10 minutes, she wasn’t convinced.

After returning from my next visit to the clinic for the filling, I received an email from my dental insurance company stating that my insurance has been exhausted and I would have to pay $558 from my pockets. I felt a little uncomfortable in that visit, the doctor filled two of my cavities and after w few weeks, I came back to get my other cavities relieved. When I reached the premises, the front desk gal told me that I would have to pay them $1180 from my pockets, as my dental insurance has reached its limit. This was the first thing that made me suspicious about the Gotham Dental clinic. It did not felt good, so I cancelled my appointment and requested them to just send me the x-rays instead. I went to a different dentist whose clinic was nearby my house. I went there to double check Dr Saumelian’s diagnosis. He did a cleaning, examined my mouth and looked over the X-rays. What he told me just made me feel like the biggest idiot in the world. He said that my last dentist scammed me and I HAVE NO CAVITIES IN MY TEETH. I was shocked to hear this because I was happy with the staff of Gotham Dental and didn’t think that they would be scamming me like this. The new dentist told me that I should come back after 6 months for another cleaning. In just two visits to Gotham Dental clinic, I had maxed out my whole dental insurance plan! I had no coverage left for any examination or cleaning. Seeing my desperate situation, the new dentist was generous enough to do my cleaning and examination for free. The Gotham Dental clinic charged me TWICE the money for every appointment and stole my money. I would advise everyone to stay away from these scammers. Don’t waste your precious time and money at Gotham Dental clinic, there are better and more honest clinics in the market, go there.
