I’ve been an active member of Navy Federal Credit Union for three years now. I recently found out that I was being charged without my permission. So I filed a complaint. But NFCU never bothered to reply. I proceeded to call to see what was going on with my fraud claim. They told me then that they had denied my claim, and also that I would soon get a letter from them detailing why. I wasn’t going to let it go. I got through to the claims department. The woman on the phone acted as though I was a fraud. When she kept being rude, I asked her to put me through to her supervisor, which she refused to do. I eventually did talk to the supervisor about 2 weeks later, but nothing’s changed.
I had no choice but to lodge a formal complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau.
