It was a busy Monday morning at work on 19th June when I received a call from some number 800-234-3867. The lady on the other side of the phone, I think her name was Rosie, said that she was calling on behalf of Dun & Bradstreet and proceeded to tell me all the information she had about my company, Dream Knitters. The next thing she said simply blew me over. She went on to tell me that there were negative inquiries on my company’s credit report and offered me a scheme wherein Dun & Bradstreet would assess risks and take care of all my credit reports. I asked the lady to get back to me in a day or two. My team and I had always made sure to do things with perfection and to digest such a negative thing seemed a little difficult.
I was scared and worried at the same time regarding such a huge gap from my end. I could smell a cheap business strategy a mile off but I needed to be sure. I went back to my team and asked them to check the credit reports of the past six months. They went through the data with a fine-toothed comb but this only confirmed my suspicion. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my credit reports! Everything was just fine at our end.
I had now started to realize what a sheer scam it was from the fraudulent company, Dun & Bradstreet. What a sham! I was now sure of the plan the morons had in their head to mislead me.
I got a call again a couple of days later from the same number and it was Rosie again. She went on and on about the various schemes and plans that she and her hoax company had in store for me. She had the guts to point out gaps in my company and its performance. Utter nonsense! I was getting annoyed and impatient with each passing second and gave it back to her. I warned her to never bother me again with such false and bogus information and threatened her with dire consequences.
Despite such heated conversation, the company had the audacity to call me again regarding the same matter. It was someone called Max this time and he too pointed out similar errors in my credit reports. The idiots just refused to give up. This was just pathetic bad business and cheating.
I had heard and read a lot about Dun & Bradstreet. They do have a high standing in the business world. After my personal encounter with them, all I have to say now is that they are crooked to the core. They plant a seed in your head and scare the shit out of you in order to do business on false grounds. Cheaters and unethical are the only words I now have for them. I warn you don’t be a victim of the trap laid by them!
