I have a 2001 Ford Expedition & I purchased a 5 year or 100,000 miles warranty from 1Source Auto Warranty on 6-3-03. My warranty number is 102-020174. At the time of purchased my truck had 35250 miles. I purchased the warranty plan for $1684. My truck currently has only 75,000 miles on it. The warranty expires 6/3/08 or at 100,000 miles. Today is February 19, 2008, & my truck starting running hard. I took it to Firestone to have it serviced. The Firestone tech told me that I needed 2 coils. I gave him my warranty info & he called me back later on & reported that the numbers no longer worked. I tried the numbeers & got the same response. I then got on the internet to try to find the new number for the warraanty company. I was surprised to learn that the company was being liquidated & that they were no longer honoring claims as of 11-30-06. So I’ve been riding around for the pass 2 years without an extended warranty.
