8×8 Inc is a provider of cloud communications and customer engagement solutions. It is based on voice, video, chat, contact center in the cloud for small, medium to enterprise business. Customers may have been using their services but lately, there have reported that 8×8 is charging them high rates as compared to other service providers that’s why there has been a decline in the sales of 8×8 also moreover, customer have shown their regards about their customer service also. Customer review website such as pissed consumer and consumer affairs have rated them quite bad in terms of their customer service, their website, and diversity of product and services. The pissed consumer has rated them 2 stars out of 5. They have rated their customer service 1 star, website 2 stars, and diversity of their product or services 2 stars respectively out of 5. Consumer affairs have rated them 3 stars altogether. This shows that 8×8 is less keen towards the customer queries and has not improved their services also. By far customers are now showing their concerns towards them and want to change their services as other services are now saving their time and money. 8×8 claims that it delivers cloud-based communication solutions that are affordable, easy to use, and incredibly advanced but that is not the case. My friend had used their services. He labeled them as dishonest and moneymakers only. His account was disabled still he was being charged on it. He had a concern that 8×8 won’t activate his account and they were still billing them for it. Customer is now asking for a refund but no action has been taken on it. He knew another person who left their services after almost 4 years as they were facing technical problems. They sent a notice to terminate the service. Once this happened after a month they charged their credit card again without even using a single service. The customer service agent was unable to help them and refuse to refund the money that they had a charge on them. This shows how companies like 8×8 are keen to make money from the customer’s pocket. Big firms are now greatly keen towards engaging new customers by delivering quality services but 8×8 has not been able to do so. They have shown a lack of commitment towards their new customers. One of the customers, who were in touch with 8×8, was trying to buy a plan for them. It has been two weeks now and still hasn’t got any reply from their sales representative. 8×8 haven’t able to clear up their customer queries regarding the services. The customer asks 10 questions and they only answered once. When he got an email from their sales representative there was no formal way. All they did was ask his credit card details. No secure payment portals, no direct debit details, no formal quotations. First impressions are always important whenever you are getting in touch with your customer and 8×8 has not been up to the mark regarding it.
