we are a small city. We only order products with a PO number. We were delivered by UPS a 10 lb bucket of drain sewer opener, from A-1 Janitorial. There was no paper work and the name on the mail tag is not someone whom even work for the city. It was delivered by UPS, to the City Hall, which is not unusal. When we looked at it to call the proper department to come pick this up we saw a name that we don’t know, and doesn’t work for the city. I am the Mayors assistant so I called our different departments to see who ordered this. No one did. When I called A-1 Janitorial to let them know this was a mistake they were bot co-operative at all. I was placed on hold several times which was fine I was then transfered to a supervisor. He was pretty rude. Insisting I just wasn’t aware of all our employees. Which I am very familiar with all our employees. The Mayor spoke with this man whom also implied that he doesn’ty know who works for the city. I looked on-line to verify there was such a company. They have a F rating eith the BBB. When I finally got him to understand I simply wanted to return it. He told me to go ahead but I would have to pay for the return. Not going to happen on our end when we didn’t order it. He then said it was against some law to return chemicals, and it would just sit in some wearhouse somewhere and they wouldn’t recieve it. I wouldn’t use A-1 Janitorial for anything as their customer service skills are terrible. Let alone the product no one ordered. They did finally fax me a voided invoice. But you shouldn’t have to argue this much for a item that was not ordered.
