I took my 1994 Ford Explorer to AAMCO to have work done. They removed the top of the air cleaner assembly in order to replace the Mass Airflow Sensor. When I got the truck home and raised the hood, I saw that they had broken the tabs off that hold the back of the air cleaner assembly together. I took the broken part back to them and they said that if they would have broken it, they would have replaced it. I had that part off of the truck the day before to check the air filter. It was not broken then. They told me to go buy one at the wrecking yard. They also told me that for the $60.00 they would charge for trouble shooting the truck, that they would tell me exactly what was wrong with it. After I paid them, they said that replacing the parts they listed as bad, may or may not fix the problem. The parts on the list they gave me has set me back almost $300.00 plus the $60.00 I paid them and the part they broke. I took it to them, because I didn’t want to use guess work to fix it. Which is just what they used… They just made $60.00 doing it. Bill Merced, CaliforniaU.S.A.
