I took my car in on a Saturday right after Tire Kingdom checked the oil and test drove the car and told me it was the transmission. The ONLY reason I took it to AAMCO was because of my warranty company. It had to go back a second time for further repairs even though they claimed to have test drove it and said it was fine. Was given back to me with a broken door handle, which they claim was broken when it was brought in. Funny, it wasn’t broken when I left Tire Kingdom or dropped it off. The repairs to the car and the cost of the rental car and gas is approximately $125.00 (not to mention the inconvenience of all this). When I called to talk to the owner about it, he hung up on me. My fiance called to try and talk to him, and they hung up on him twice. They told us we couldn’t get everything for free. I don’t want anything for free. The door handle wasn’t broken when I brought it in. As they were responsible for the breakage, they should also be responsible for the costs involved in fixing it, especially since they are getting $1,995.78 from my warranty company for the repairs of the car. They are rude and unprofessional. And if they are the kind of people AAMCO hires, I will NEVER go there again and WILL NEVER recommend that someone go there. I have contacted customer service, however, Jerry never seems to be there when they call. I now need to figure out how to come up with the money to get my car out of the shop as the warranty company would only pay for part of the repair, and not the whole job. Nor did they cover the entire amount for the rental car and the gas expended by me or my fiance due to this inconvenience. What happened to people being responsible for the damage they caused??
