Abizer Sakarwala charged with indecent exposure

Abizer Sakarwala has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated indecent exposure. The incidents took place at the Village of Rochester Hills shopping center. In August and September, the 28 year old doctor approached his victims in the parking lot of the mall and then showed himself. He drove up in a 2003 Lexus RX300. According to Captain Michael Johnson from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (substation at Rochester Hills), two such incidents were reported.
Two juvenile girls were involved in one of the incidents, whereas a woman was the victim in the other one. Abizer Sakarwala appeared before Magistrate Marie Soma without an attorney on Octover 8th in 52-3 District Court. The bond was set at $5,000, and the charges are felonies. The felonies are punishable by up to a life sentence in prison.
Sakarwala worked as a radiology resident at the Beaumont Hospital at Royal Oak. He has been suspended, according to Bob Ortileb, media relations specialist at the hospital. He also admitted to other incidents in the same area. The shopping center is at Walton Boulevard and Adams Road.
