A Mom has a big job to do and that is to keep their children strong and healthy. My son had some small cavities and he needed urgent treatment for that. So, I started to look into some good dental clinics and after searching a little I got to know about Acorn Dentistry for Kids-Silverton. I had never imagined in my wildest dreams that taking my son there for treatment would turn out to be such a grave mistake.
I called in for an appointment and got in for the next day. It was my first visit to this dental clinic and the atmosphere there was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. Their lobby is too small and has no place to sit. The front office staff was very rude and unfriendly. They made us wait for a long time to bring us to a waiting room. We were greeted very coldly. There were not any books or activities to keep the kids occupied and entertained. I was already very nervous about my son\’s procedure and they made it even harder for me because of their unprofessionalism. The doctor in charge was very un-skilled and the procedure took almost an hour when it could have been done in 30 minutes. He was a bad listener and did not give me a chance to have a conversation and share my concerns. My son was drugged during the process and he had an intense reaction to the medicine. I got so scared and caused a mess but the doctor did not pay much attention and went to see some other patients. These monsters don’t care about the little kids at all and their only concern is to get money out of their client\’s pocket. Also, if you are going in for surgery there, please do not forget to take your blankets and pillows with you, at Acorn Dentistry bed sheets are just too stinky and dirty to use. We were pressurized to get unnecessary x-rays done. The office was not well equipped with the latest technology. Later, we came to know that the cost of all the procedures was too pricey compared to other dental care centres around. The total bill came out to be very high and the services they provided were comparatively very incompetent. They don’t have direct billing set up with insurance companies and they give some paperwork to fill up for necessary procedures. The paperwork requires your social security form and medical certificate and you need to give a lot of your personal information which is indirectly invasion of your privacy. My son had such a bad experience that we never want to visit them again.
I would like to warn everyone who has children to never step into Acorn dentistry until or unless you want to have a bad memory of a lifetime.
