I received a call from ACP telling me that I had taken out an online loan from a Company in 2017 and had not paid it back. The man I spoke to was rude and threatened to put me in jail for up to 5 years for this. He sounded very convincing and scared me to the point that even though I knew I had not done this I was ready to pay the large amount. When I asked for paperwork or evidence that proved I had done this he became even more threatening and said he didn’t have to give me anything. I asked for the number of the company that I owed this money to and he started yelling at me and telling me that he would throw a harrassment suit on me on top of everything if I called them then said I had 30 minutes do decide what I would do and hung up. My husband called the better business buerau and found out that I have a legal right to a validation letter. When I called them back and asked for the letter he yelled at me and said that if i called him again that he would file a harrassment suit against me then hung up. WHAT A SCAM!!! Someone should put these guys in jail for fraud not innocent people like me!
