I took my car to Advanced Autodynamics because it wouldn’t start. They diagnosed the problem as bad spark plugs & spark plug wires which flooded the engine and washed the rings. What they did not diagnose was the coolant temperature sensor. They took three days to do the diagnosis, and charged me 30% more than the Saturn dealership for the diagnosis, and they still couldn’t do a complete job of it. So I got the car back and it worked for about a week, then the problems with starting it came back. It seems they overcharge for parts and labor, but they won’t give a break down of how much time they take to do what, but I think $150 to change some spark plugs and spark plug wires, just for the labor, seems a bit much. That’s in addition to the $149 diagnosis. and brag about their honesty. I can’t say for sure about that, but there’s a big question about their competence. Also, my understanding of the fine print on the invoice is that they don’t guarantee their work, and they want to make sure that if you pay by credit card, you legally agree not do to do any kind of charge back. Doesn’t sound good, does it? I’d say go to V&V Automotive instead. I’m going to have to just change the coolant temp sensor out myself. Cons: incomplete diagnosis Tracy las vegas, NevadaU.S.A.
