I received an Email from [protected]@myadvantageoffer.com which appeared to be a Confirmation of an order for “Unlimited Domestic Calling service”. The order included my information on it, such as my name and email and phone number and residential address. I never placed an order for any such service. The order had yesterday’s date on it. I read in fine print and found a number given to call and cancel before being charged $16.88 per month for this service. I called and the Customer service rep seemed prepared for my questions about why I received the Email confirming something that I never signed up for. I suspect some kind of scam going on, where they get personal information for individuals through some channel and then send them confirmation emails and then bill them, if they don’t call to cancel.
