I have been a loyal customer of Advantage for the past 3 years. Advantage informed me I needed a serpentine belt, struts, and brakes. I received a quote and paid for the services which were done on 10/31/07. I have been doing allot of traveling to visit relatives. I decided to do a safety check on my car with Tire Kingdom on 06/14/08. They advised me that I needed a serpentine belt and new tires. Advantage never told me that I needed new tires. I told the manager with Tire Kingdom this can not be true because I just had my serpentine belt replaced. I kept the receipt in the car. I showed the receipt to the manager. He stated that the belt was cracked. I called Advantage in Oldsmar to let them know. I was told to bring the car right in. I was told to take my car to their Starkey location which is close to where I live. I was told by Jim at Advantage that the day I took my car to have the serpentine belt installed they got too busy and did not install it. However, they were not too busy to charge me for services they did not do. I’m happy that they took care of the situation 8 months later, but a little disappointed knowing that my car wasn’t completely checked out before they handed me my keys. Today they had to order the belt which I waited around for 3 hours. He gave me 2 front tires and replaced my belt. If I hadn’t taken my car to Tire Kingdom I wouldn’t have known about the serpentine belt being cracked. With the extensive traveling that I, my car could have broken down on the road.
