I made an appointment a week in advance to have a timing belt replaced and the 100, 000 mile service done. A week before that, they called to say they were having trouble getting parts, and could I come in a week later? Fine. A week later, I dropped off my car well before they opened. At 3:00 pm., they called to tell me they hadn’t been able to get to my car because of “emergencies” and “backups” from previous days’ work. I stupidly gave them another chance and took it back the next day. By 2:00 pm, they hadn’t even finished the timing belt and “weren’t sure” how long it would take to do the other stuff, but it would probaby be 6:00, leaving me stuck at work on a Friday afternoon, no car, and too hot to just go for a walk. I’m all for supporting independent local businesses and those owned by women (having been ripped off by myriad mechanics over the year) but these girls are amateurs. Never again.
