Alliance Moving Services/Andrew Cruz contacted me for my move from Myrtle Beach, SC to Salem, OR. I gave them a list of items and was explicit as to what was there and how much they weighed as well as all measurements. The original estimate was for 2424.50. I later updated the list and the new estimate was 3364.42. Each time I spoke to one of their reps I reminded them of the original agreement concerning the use of shuttle. They were to come see if they could get a semi in there like others had been able to pull in 70 ft long houses. On moving day I got no call. Ocean Moving pulled up with a Budget truck. They loaded my things and then handed me a contract that was several hundred dollars more than the original. I reminded them of the contract with Alliance adn told me that I had signed the contract with Alliance and was legally forced to pay the amount of their(Ocean) contract. Without looking first they charged me for a 300.00 shuttle in Myrtle Beach and again in Salem. Both places were easily accessible by trucks pulling 70 ft houses! In Salem they refused to remove the charge for shuttle insisting that I pay or they refused to let me have my things. I called Alliance and told them that it was their fault if there was a charge for a shuttle it was not on there when I signed the contract. They kept insisting that even though it was not there at time of signing I was still liable for the charges. Miriam Garcia at Alliance refused to even give their street address or phone number. I had to look them both up. What a bunch of filthy thieves!
