I purchased a DR250 exact replacement drum from Computer Friends – All Toner. When the cartridge arrived I opened up the well packed box and everything looked fine. I replaced the cartridge, as I have done many time before, and turned on the machine. As soon as the machine started the plastic “first sheet” from the cartridge got stuck in the printer. I looked closely and two little rollers had been pushed out. I carefully pilled out the plastic sheet and tried the machine. The first sheet of paper also became stuck. When I lifted the cover on the printer, it appeared that the cartridge had “opened up.” I removed the cartridge and observed fresh toner in the button on the machine. I removed the Computer Friends cartridge. I then had to make a mess and vacuum out the machine. The next day I went to Staples and purchased a genuine Brother Cartridge. The printer now works fine – even without the two little rollers that the Computer Friends plastic sheet seems to have broken. I followed the directions for the Computer Friends RMA, and have been waiting all week, with excuses from the receptionist, of why the RMA can not be issued. The excuse today was that Computer Friends must wait for approval from the “drum company.” I do not actually think that the problem is the drum – I think it may be the assembly. I have dealt for this company for a number of years and purchased toner. This is the first … and the last cartridge.. that I will ever use. I adamantly caution anyone who is considering a purchase from Computer Friends – All Toner to reconsider their purchase, as the company certainly does not seem to stand by their product — based on this incident.
