A friend of mine bought me a watch description-Tempo LDS Classico watch to the value of R399 on Christmas eve, within a week it started to change color both the silver and gold started to be rusty bronze or what color is this I don”t know. I then went to the store the following week on the 02 of Jan 2014 and showed it to the shop assistant. where the watch was bought, the assistant told me that it is plated gold, that the gold part is going to change to be silver, and the silver part will not change but to my suprise the silver part also changed into the rusty bronze color, the lady said I can”t exchange or even get a refund, she also told me that the price of the product also tells one about the quality, that is true I know but I did not expect to see it worning out it”s originalness color so quick, Am not happy at all I would like to get my. full refund.

The ring was kept at American Swiss until I have paid it in full. However the wedding was cancelled and American Swiss Eastgate reversed the payments I already made back into my account. The ring was still with them! I have contacted customer services and they said that I need to go to the Eastgate branch which I have done. Twice! The Eastgate branch has also phoned the call centre on numerous occasions who will then say it will be corrected and then it never does! After doing some research on diamonds, I see that: A M colored I2 clarity diamond is worth R30K – Your RSP 85K, on promo R42K A K colored SI2 clarity diamond is worth R78K – Your RSP 100K, on promo R65K A L colored I1 clarity diamond is worth R53K – Your RSP R85K, on promo R55K It’s clear to me that American Swiss inflate RSP prices of the rings and then put them on promotion at the ACTUAL value of the diamond. That is quite unethical to say the least.

After I gave my wedding ring in for repair (to tighten the stones that got loose over time), they assured me that I would receive a quotation within 3 working days. Two weeks later I tried to phone but the phone kept on ringing. I decided to go in to the shop where I was told that they “forgot” to phone me with the quote. They gave me the quotation amount and I told them to please go ahead and repair. They told me that I would have it back, again, within 3 working days. I went back today after another week and a half to collect my ring only to be told that they forgot to give the instruction to repair so I must please wait longer. Don”t they have any respect for you as a customer? Are we ever a priority? After a month without my wedding ring for something that would have taken a week, I would most certainly not do business with them again.

Bought a tanzanite ring at American Swiss Cresta on 4 April 2010, sent it in for resizing went to collect on 9 April 2010, went for supper and i noticed that the tanzanite stone had a chip in it ( OR SO I THOUGHT), as i was still in cresta i took it back immediately. The sales lady was very cheecky and had the audacity to tell me that i banged it against something, after arguing with her for a while she takes it in and tells me in a very condecending tone that the ring will sent back to their supplier .Two days later 13-04-2010 she calls me to tell me that it was not a crack afterall but a flaw in the stone and that they will replace it I will have my ring on friday 16-04-2010 perfectly in tact and sized aswell. Today is the 22-04-2010 I have just called and my ring is still not in the store it supposedly takes 5 days for resizing.I am disgusted first they sell me a ring that is not up to standard and now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to correct their mistakes. Dear Sirs/Madam, My name is Tian, my girlfriend bought me a Fossil watch from American Swiss Greenstone shopping centre Johannesburg South Africa. 1. The watch firt sold had scratchers on it. 2. The waiting period for a replacement was ridiculous and my girlfriend as the client had to inform the assistant to ask one of the other branches to send a replacement watch. 3. The box the watch come in is not even a Fossil box but some other tin can. 4. The watch was given as is… they did not even have the customer courtesy to set the time and date. 5. The booklet containing the guarantee was given apart from the tin can they put the watch in because it could not fit. For Christmas 2016 I bought my finance a Anne Klein watch set which I was told is Gold. On 29 January she took it back to the store that I bought it from and was told that they would pay her back for the set but they do not have the R2, 499.00 in cash at the moment. They advised her that they would contact her to when she can come and collect the cash and hand back the jewellery. I would like to know when I can get my full refund back the gold had rubbed off, is this the type of bull #### storys you tell your clients, is this standard business practice or will it fall under the harm full business practise act. Who pays for my time and travelling to your store to take the product back. When I bought the set I had to pay there and then not when I had the money now I must wait for yourselves to rip some one else off to pay me. This Friday they phoned me again and I’m so irritated I want to close my account with them. Good Day I am very annoyed. I took my 9ct Gold chain to American Swiss Menlyn Pretoria to be repaired. I have asked the lady the price and she said that she will have to send it to the workshop first and then only will be able to give me the amount to pay. I booked it in and 3 days later I got a call to say my necklace is ready. I was astonished as I was not contacted with the price for my approval. I asked how much and the lady said she will have to phone me back. I waited for her call but no luck. We decided to go into the branch that evening just to hear that it is R574.00 or something. I said that i am not prepared to pay this amount as no one called with the price. The manager on duty Wednesday evening 13/06 assured me that it will be sorted the very next morning and she herself will phone me back personally. I am still waiting!!! We also requested a special order for a ring that we are going to purchase, so I see myself as a valued customer and I did not like the manager on duty tone in her voice.

I bought a ring on the 24th of May and I send it for adjustment, they said to me it would take 3 weeks to get my ring back but up to now I haven”t received it and it”s been 2 months now . Only yesterday that”s when they told me that it would take another 21 days to get it back, after I called them, so that”s 3 months already. The ladies who works there are very useless and they no nothing about customer service, to me it looks like there is no Manager at American Swiss Festival Mall ( Kempton Park). Good day On 18 october i bought a phone from american swiss in Boulders mall in midrand. i returned it back on the 24th because it was not downloading or updating apps. according to their policy, goods returned within 7 days will be exchanged but they refused to exchange it and opt to repair it. The phone came back from repairs on 09th december 2015 & i collected it on 11th december. on the 13th december i returned the phone back to them because it only downloaded 2 apps & the same problem continue. i told them i dont need this phone because it gave me problem the 1st day i bought it and it will continue to give me problems. they still dont want to exchange. they say they are taking it for repairs again and obvious i will be able to get his phone next year. this is unfair considering that the phone is still new & i havent used it. it gonna take more than 3 months for me to get the phone that i have bought in october. Good day, I am working from 07:30 until 17:00 just outside of town, I have searched on the internet for what time the shop is closing on trading hours and found it show that the shop is only closing at 18:00, so I rushed after work into town but to my surprise I ended up in front of a closed shop. I enquired about trading hours today and a very rude lady told me they are closing shop at 10 to five in the afternoon. Good day, I have called in previously and it was said someone would contact me after I have laid the complaint, to date, nothing. I bought my wife an diamond ring about 4-5 years ago. Two of the diamonds kept on falling out, we had it re-fitted and then the third time your Wayside mall store paid for it as it happened weeks after repairing. The diamonds fell out again after this and the store manager requested a report from the jeweller why this was still happening. According to the report the rings clasps had to be checked and adjusted once a year. The jeweller has also stated that if they fix it they cannot guarantee that the diamond would not fall out again as there is now wear and tear to the ring and it was not sent to them annually to check. Firstly, when you purchase something like a ring for your loved one, you would expect it would last. Secondly, at no time has anyone informed me about this annual check and sizing, and I have bought several rings for my wife from your store. Everyone always asks about insurance but never that we must bring rings back yearly. This ring is now useless and we have wasted our money, American Swiss however has wrongfully been enriched by selling us a product without properly explaining the terms. On top of this the jeweller basically indicated that the design is also part of the problem. Can someone please assist before I take this matter further. Regards

Good day, my daughter bought her a Mobicel Tablet at the American Swiss store in Promenade, Mitchells Plain. The service at the store is very good and I do enjoy going to that store. However, she bought the tablet for R2299 cash in April 2015 with money that she saved up as she wants to use the device for her studies. The touch of the tablet started messing and then we discovered a fine crack in the screen. The tablet was sent away for repairs and when we got it back a few weeks later the touch was still messing. We took it back to the store and the tablet was sent away again and a few weeks later when we got it the touch was still messing. We went back to the store and said we want a refund or another brand device. The manager Emerentia, advised me that they have to send the device to the supplier again. It is September 2015 and my daughter does not have anything to help her with her studies. She has to borrow someone else device to use the internet and type documents. Good day, To whom it may concern. The reason for the letter is to confirm that I am disappointed and appalled by the service I have received at American Swiss Vangate Mall. I had two incidents at the branch with the manager, I went into the store and saw a pair of gold round earrings for R899, I was about to purchase the earrings to be informed that it is the incorrect price, and the original price is R2899. The price advertise at the time was R899. She then went to the till and got a box with prices in and added the number 2 to the price of the earrings to make it R2899. According to my rights I am entitled to the price being displayed in your store – the error was on your end. I informed the manager the price I saw is the price I want to pay, I was then told a long story. I then contacted the area manager to complain – two months later and I have still not received a response. Is that the service the area manager provide to customers? I would at least have expected to get a response by now. The second incident my 24 year old daughter bought a chain of R699 which did not even last more than a month and it broke. If she had to break it I would have not returned it. I do not expect a chain of that price to break within a month? That”s ridiculous. I had to chase them up to send the chain for repairs, they informed me it will take two days until get feedback. After one month of being patient I have still not received any form of communication. I left my contact number but not any of them made an attempt to even contact me. When I got to the store I was told by the manager I could take a new chain, I was happy with the response and told my daughter to come later that day to get a new chain. My daughter then went to the store and was informed that she made a mistake and that taking a replacement item was for a different customer. One of staff members showed me that the chain is still there. Is that the service I am suppose to get? I explained to Michael the area manager who told me I must bring the chain back on Monday. A week later he then told me that there is nothing he can do. He did not even have a look at the chain but he informed me that there is nothing he can do. The store manager informed me a week later that he is here for the first time since he told me to bring it back that Monday. The area manager seems to be lacking ownership and might need to undergo a training refresher course on how to deal with customers and fulfilling promises made to customers . My faith in American Swiss is completely gone from a shop I love purchasing from. I then received communication from the store manager to inform me there is nothing they can do after I sent one my co-workers there – they told my co-worker that I could come and fetch it if I still want it. I then asked my second co-worker if they could go and get because I was absolutely disgusted on how the management team dealt with my issue. When the second Co-worker went to the store the area manager was the one who was at the store and we asked him for Nasley, Nasley was busy at the back and the area manager asked who could I help, my co-worker then said she is here to pick up Mrs hendricks chain, he then said okay without showing any empathy whatsoever and walked out the store? Atrocious. I would like communication from you as soon as possible with acknowledgement that you have received my email and setting an expectation with me what you will be doing moving forward with my complaint or I will be taking it much further. Good evening, I went in to your American Swiss Canal walk late this afternoon. I saw a rose gold ring that I was interested in priced on mark down at R1625 on display. I then continued to call the sales consultant for assistance to try on the ring, aswel as confirming with her that this is the correct price displayed. She checked the Barcode and confirmed that this is the correct price, I then asked her again and I then informed her that I would like to purchase the ring as indicated. We proceeded to the counter where I handed my card to her where she then saw that it rang up a more expensive price. She proceeded to call one of her colleagues and very inpolitely her colleague/manager with no introduction told me that the ring is in fact R16000 and infront of another customer told me this is a finger error in a very blunt manner. NO APOLOGY, NO EXPLANATION, NOTHING. She then continued to assist the other customer and at this moment I felt extremely disappointed at the level of service I experienced not considering that I confirmed and asked the sales assistant twice if that is correct. It”s really disappointing that this ring is on the main display and there is no one claiming responsibility to check if these prices are correct on a day to day basis. As a customer I have previously purchased all my jewelry from your store and I think this level of service was poor as a customer I expected to purchase this ring for the price displayed. Got a watch as a gift brought from the Ballito branch Winx brand for R399 only wore it five days and it had started peeling went to the store with the watch end receipt to get an exchange for a watch of the same value not even for a refund or anything I was told that they couldn”t process it since it was bought on account they need the account holder, so know the card holder must travel from Cape Town to Durban just to get a watch exchange what kind of customer service is this cause u only need the buying slip for an exchange this is not a refund does your staff not know what the customer rights policy can you please solve this issue ASAP cause it will affect business not just for them but for the whole mall if that”s how customers are treated.

Hello, I bought a ring and earrings earlier in the year. I went back to complain about the ring. even the sales clerk said it was badly made. They allowed me to exchange it for a different ring which i had to pay an additional amount for. This was on 8 nov 2019. I then went this morning to the store to return the ring as i find the diamonds are extremely yellow in the day light. They will not credit me for the ring as apparently “its used goods” now…they are scratches on it. There are most definitely no scratches on the ring! I have the box, the receipt and the ring in good condition and all within the 30 days. To top it all off the store manager had to call the area manager and the area manager wanted to talk to me on the telephone. She ended up yelling at me down the phone for no reason whatsoever. I am made to feel like the guilty party when i have done nothing other then want to return a purchase. I was asked why am i returning the ring now? Why not its within the 30 day period as stipulated!

Hi i had a lay-by for 6 months with American Swiss. First installment was due on the first on January 2018 and last payment was supposed to be in June 2018. I won”t lie i was late but was making payments for all the months. When i went in August 2018 to pay the last payment which was R688 i was told that my account has bee credited, which means i”ve lost the rings and the money that i”ve paid just like that. When i asked for the manager i was told that she was off i must come back again. When i went to the store again i was told that the manager is still not available i must come back again on the 20th of this month September. Hi there I”m very disappointed & dissatisfied with the horrible unpleasant service I received from your customer service department in Capetown. I am thinking of posting such experience on social media networks across the globe or reporting you to consumer council of South Africa. I recently walked in one of your branches in Pretoria North to inquire about lay-by procedures or process. I was assisted nicely & open an lay-by account. Here”s the horrible unpleasant part of the matter, I spent 2 hours in store trying to make a payment, whilst chatting to your Head office customer team about how best I can be assisted for my payment to go through. Their service was very bad, I”m very upset for them wasting my entire time & secondly had left my 7 month pregnant wife seated in the car by the parking area. Thinking that I was going to spend less than 5 mins just to do the payment of which I turned to bloody two hours. My wife had to drag herself slowly to come looking for me, she got angry as well at me, they totally inconvenienced all my time & remember time is money. How best are you going to compensate all this. I am thinking to cancel this lay-by of rings worthy about R22 998.00, better I try other professional stores with good customer service to customers than me getting such bad treat. Hi, I purchased a diamond ear ring worth 11500/- Rands as gift for my wife at American Swiss canal walk store, cape town on 22-Nov 2019. I enquired before payment and was informed before making the purchase that Iam allowed to return or exchange within 30 Days. On 23-Nov 2019 when I go to exchange the ear ring as my wife didn”t like the design, the store manager says that she had already informed me that it cannot be exchanged and explains me the policy very clearly. MY COMPLAINT is that the policy was not explained clearly by the sales staff before purchase as they wanted to make a sale. Hi, I purchased a minx watch at american swiss long beach mall for my wife on the 10.03.2018. The following morning my wife noticed the watch was behind and not keeping time, after setting it again its was fine for a few days until the 23.03.2018 when the same thing happened. We then decided to take it to the branch in canal walk and was advised that the battery was not part of the 12 month guarantee and that we should take it to a different watch place to have it assets and then bring it back to them and they will then send it away if it is the mechanism that’s faulty. Firstly the guarantee was not explained to us and purchasing a new watch you expect the battery to last much longer then 2 weeks, which means we need to spend money again on a battery for a watch thats less than 3 weeks old. Worst service ever… Referring me to a different watch place… Why then not just purchased a watch from the place they sending me to… Never again!!!

I am absolutely disappointed in the service I am receiving from American Swiss at the Greenstone Mall. I left my ring for resizing about 4 weeks ago, I have been to the store 4 times now only to be told it has not yet arrived should arrive within the next few days that was 4 weeks ago, I was told I will be called by the sales person to update me but received no calls from them to date, My husband went to the store yesterday again told by the Manager of the store that my ring could not be resized here in Gauteng so they had to sent to Cape Town to resize (what a load of nonsense) I don”t believe that for a second, and unbelievably so this was told to me by the “Manager” if that wore the case this should have been communicated to me in due time, instead of me having to run up and down to the store for nothing. I am so disappointed that words cannot describe how I feel, I have been a loyal customer for the past 20 years and bought my jewellery from no other store, Now I will never again purchase from any American Swiss store and will make certain my family and friends know about their service. This is absolutely unacceptable, and to top that off been told that I will not be charged for the resizing of my ring, and also been told again by the Manager that they will give me a small gift to compensate me for the delay, I do not want compensation I just want my ring… damage is done.

I am Mr Mitchell, At 13h15 I came to your store to make payment, entering i saw that the one sales assistant was busy with a client, so i stood at her point whilst she was alone at that time. There was another client in the store too, standing at the entrance point so I did not know whether she was with the other client or if she was being attended too. approximately 1 minute went by and I was not acknowledge or greeted with intent to recognize my presence, then soon another lady came out and also did not acknowledge my presence in the store but carried on attending to the other lady that was standing at the entrance point. She finished attending to her and picked up the ringing phone next to the point I was standing and still nobody greeted or acknowledged my presence in the store. While she was attending to the the caller a friend came in and went straight to her, hugged her and she immediately responded with happiness and greet, the sales person then went across the store attending to the caller still, finished the call and said a few words to the friend and then she left. Immediately a couple entered the store with a pram a child in it, they walked straight to her and she acknowledged them and attended to their needs, whilst I am still standing with my store card and bank card in my hand raised to my face kind-of trying to show her that I am in the store and need assistance but that to did not get her attention. She came across to my side of the shop still busy with them, remember your other sales person is still busy with her client and also did not acknowledge my presence in the store. It is then that I indicated to her that I am in the store awaiting service or assistance from her or any other staff member, “SHE TURNS TO ME AND SAID THEY CAME TO ME AND THAT SHE”LL BE WITH ME NOW” I immediately told her that I was in the store and waiting on someone to help me or even just acknowledge me but nobody even looked at me, so so unprofessional and poor staff service. From your front-line staff I expected more and also acknowledge the clients with a greet or some kind acknowledgement of awareness. When I told her to help me 1st she did not approach me courteously but abruptly, I asked her to greet me and her response was rude and abrupt. I am very dissapointed about the service I received from American Swiss store in Kollonade. At the store we were assisted by Rinah Mothiba. A week ago we went to the store to return a ring that we bought which was small. We were told that the ring could only be resized two sizes bigger due to the detail on the sides. So we selected a new ring which was also small and requested the ring be ordered as a special order. We were told that an email would be sent to the supplier to confirm if they will be able to make the ring in the requested size and the response would take 5 days. We received a call on the 6th day to come to the store and because I was out of town my fiance then went to the store. He had to return the ring we bought and the refund would be a deposit for the special order. Upon my arrival home i saw that the new receipt was hand written and the refund was showing as an account payment and the receipt also showed a credit availble balance. I did not understand why the receipt was hand written and also we do not hold any accounts at American Swiss or their partners. I therefore went to enquire at the store so i could understand the hand written receipt. Upon arrival at the store we were told that Rinah Mothiba was out and would be back in 3-4 minutes. We waited for about 15 minutes only to find out that Rinah was actually at the back office the whole time. Rinah then walked out the back bare footed and asked how she could assist. I explained to her that I do not understand why the receipt was hand written and also showed an account payment and not a refund. Rinah then responded with an attitude and said she had explained to my fiance who also did not undrstand. I then asked Rinah to please explain to me as he could not explain it and also asked Rinah to please speak in English as maybe there is a language barrier. Rinah continued to speak in her home language even after I had asked us to communicate in english. I further explained that I expected to see the new ring price as well as the refund or deposit of the previous ring and the balance of the amount outstanding on the receipt and not hand written in pen. Rinah failed to explain to us the process that she needed to follow in order to process the special order and why the refund was showing as an account payment. The reference was also written in pen on the receipt. After all the time spent in the store we still did not get an explaination. I believe American Swiss is a well established store with appropriate procedures and systems which will not result in their customers receiving hand written receipts. I am very dissapointed in the service that we received from Rinah and would not recommend the American Swiss to any of my family, frends and people in my circles. American Swiss is a jewellery store that we grew up knowing to be the best from our parents and provided good quality and good customer service. This process of getting my engagement ring has been a nightmare.

I am very upset about the bad service I get from American Swiss in Lephalale mall. I bought a new ring that needed to be resized. It was fine when it got back but 3 months later the ring broke where they resized it. I took it back to the shop to be fixed on the 22 of November, when they told me I should pay for it to be fixed because I received it in one piece. They told me it”s because they had to make it 4 sizes bigger that it broke, so I explained to the manager that I had bought a ring from Sterns 4 years ago and it is still in one piece . They send the ring back telling me I can come and collect it in 2 weeks” time. Two weeks went by and still no ring. And every time when I call them they tell me they will call me back but they never do. I will never buy anything from American Swiss at Lephalale mall again.

I bought a 9ct Twinsets wedding ring for my wife on the 27th Aug 2008 for the price of R3750 cash. It was about 5min before closing time so we as well as the sales lady of the shop was in a hurry. My wife just fitted the ring in the shop and placed it bach in its holder and we went home. She only took it out the next day to show it to her friend and that was the time when she saw that one band was missing as well as a diamond stone on one of the bands. She didn”t wanted to wear them until the Sunday of the 7th Sep when they would have been blessed by our Pastor.When I went back to the shop the 29th of Aug, the sales lady phoned the regional manager a guy by the name of David who wasn”t very helpfull at all. I decided to phone his boss, a lady by the name of Nicole who also wasn”t very helpfull. She promissed to get back to me on the 1st of Sep 08, but she never did. When I phoned her the 2nd Sep 08, she said that I had to wait because she was still trying to sort someting out for me. All I want at this stage is my money back so that I can go to another dealer, because I feel that I wasn”t treated as a customer. That is a lot of money for somebody like myself that is unemployed.

I bought a gents ring in our Stellenbosch branch and give it for resized in Somerset Mall, A week later I went there to found out if the ring came cause I haven”t received a sms or phone call, so Deidre checked for me at the back room and it was there. So I paid the R120 on my debit card and it went off my account but not on their side(don”t know how it”s possible) .So Deidre told me it will only go through the next day(08sept)after 12 and she”ll give me a call. It was after 12 and no sms or phone call so I went to the store and she wasnt there. I explained myself to the lady that was on duty and was told to get a bank statement to see if it went off on my account and wasnt reversed back. got the statement and had to explained myself to the manager after that, again, then she call there bank merchant but he was oyt of office and left him a message.But they don”t get my point… If the transaction went off on my phone then it is been paid for. so now I have to wait how long for a ring that I”ve paid for already.is there an explaination for that????????????

I bought a ring at American Swiss Sandton. I took it to a jeweller for an evaluation. The certificate number of the ring and the actual ring number from GIA is not the same. Thus meaning in the shop i was given a certificate of another ring. Which means I do not have a certificate for my ring. Nobody seams to know how to help me. I have booked a ticket to Cape Town to go to the American Swiss head office to see if there is a compitent person who can assist. Lets hope!!!

I bought a ring in december about the 26th and made it a bit bigger on the 14tg of january, I got it back on the 21st of january. Hardly about a month later is started cracking and bending at the point where it was made bigger. When I took it back they told me that is was not a manufacturing fault and that it would cost r230 to fix. I want to know how could it not be a manufacturing fault. It was not worn daily and I doubt that american swiss sells bad quality rings that does not last a month. I refuse to pay for something that not my fault and after years of loyalty and support im disappointed on how this matter is handled.

I bought a ring on the first week of August 2019. It went for resizing. I took it after a week. After 1 month 3 weeks of wearing the ring it changed to black. I went to the store on 3rd of November, they said its customer damage i use chemicals like Domestos to clean but they will polish it then it should be fine. They polished the ring but when they give me back, i didn’t see much difference but they told me if i want it to be fixed they can book it then i will have to pay. On the 4th of November i took it back because the polishing didn’t really help. They told me i should come back on the 8th to collect it. I went back on the 8th but they told me they are still investigating the cause of the ring turning black. They will call me on the 11th or 12th. I waited until i decided to call on the 13th, that is when they only told me that i should pay R290 for it to be fixed. I agreed. I received the call on the 15th that the ring was back. I went to fetch it on 17th it looked really good and i was told to pay R145. Today is the 18th i can see the changes again, i only bathed and wash dishes. I use sunlight dish wash and sunlight bar for bathing. Is this still a customer fault?

I bought a set of wedding ring and a watch with bracelet in August 2018, I started using my jewellery on 02nd of September 2018 as I was celebrating my 20th Wedding anniversary. On the 26th of October 2018 I took the ring back to the shop at Eastrand Mall, because it was band and out of shape. I was assisted by one of the staff lady, who told me that they will take in the ring for repairs, which might come with the cost if the investigations are found to be that its a normal wear and tear or if found that the damage was caused by myself. The lady claimed that I have applied some sort of pressure on my ring or have carried heavy things that caused the out of shape look. She then told me that the strength of silver is weak as compared to the gold. I then explained to the lady the type of the job I do and my functions in the house that I do, which I believe they could not by any chance result to this if the quality of the ring was up to standard. My Husband was called and notified that the ring has been repaired and we should come and collect, but we must bring R150.00 to pay for repairs, then my Husband needed an explanation and requested the the lady to call me, which she didn”t, She then called my husband again telling my husband that we should come to the shop and request to see the shop manager. On the 02nd my husband and I went to the shop and the manager came to assist us. She came with the pack and she opened it and gave me the ring and asked if I was happy with the repairs, I then told her that the ring wasn”t mine, surprised she was as I explained my design. We then left and told her we will be back for my ring. When we got there, we were assisted by another lady and she gave my ring repaired. I surely needed answers for the questions I have regarding the quality of the ring which was not detailed or communicated to be at the time of the purchase. I didn”t get any help.

I bought a wedding ring in October of the current year. I had to resize the ring as it did not fit my wedding finger. The ring went 3 letter sizes up. I then saw something I like more at Clearwater Mall. I then contacted the manager at Africa Mall that I would like to change my ring and pay the balance of the ring I saw at Clearwater Mall. I was then told that I cannot change my ring as it was resized. My concern here is if American Swiss designed rings in atleast 5 letter sizes I wouldn”t have had to resize it in the first place. My other concern is that, if American Swiss made sure to keep the same stock of rings I wouldn”t have bought a ring I would later want to exchange once I saw something I like better. I am extremely unsatisfied with American Swiss. I do not want to keep a ring I don”t like and now I”m forced to wear something I am not happy with. I will never buy anything from such a supplier.

I bought a wedding ring the 20th of january 2018 and got the ring back after soldering in feb 2018. In april I walk in back to the store only to find I lost a stone in the ring. With no hassle I was helped. In june 2018 I once again had to bring back the ring after another stone is missing. Huge problem to help me. After throwing a seen I was help With a attitude. And guess what once again the same story today in 29 july 2018 and so I was told its the way the ring is used. The ring has never seen any water and im a manager working with paper and customers. No I was refused to be help and said sir here is your money, once again not apologising just big attitudes. The way a customer is treated at the kolonade branch I utterly unprofessional. Now they phoning me with a quote of R495 for the replacement of a battery. Seriously…what makes this battery so special? This watch is still under guarantee. I got the most appalling service at American Swiss Alberton City Mall on 06.05.2017 and to make matters worse, it was the second time, they were doing this to me. Their service is absolute **** and that is putting it mildly. I was there Saturday morning, wanting to pay and take my lay-bye before I quickly rush to work and they open at nine, I was there earlier than nine and patiently waited for them to open but then the clock hit 9 o”clock and they did not open. Five minutes later, I knocked on the door and the lady… I believe she is a supervisor or manager shouted at me to go and pay at Fochini and left me without a chance to respond. I knocked again and again she shouted and said go to Fochini. I shouted back and said I”m here to get my lay-bye. They finally opened the door and letted me in and totally ignored me completely and they carried on preparing and cleaning the shop like I was not there, I had to ask them to assist me. I had a lay bye of 2 rings at american swiss in king williams town. I am not happy with the quality of the male ring it looks like its been used for years it has scratches although I only took it yesterday and it hasn”t been worn yet. The rings are big and I was told that I have to pay an extra r600 to resize them but at sterns when you buy a ring measurements are taken and your given something that fits you from the word go. I”m very much unhappy with these rings and the quality of this male ring I wish I can just return them and get my r12500 and buy something thats of good quality elsewhere.

I had my baby ear piercing done in Sandton 20 Dec, where the assistant marked but pieced where it was not marked leaving my baby with way too much up ear hole and way too low one. Ear piercing is 2be done by 2 people at the same time. I am so hurt and disappointed. How could yu use pple with zero experience, what should I do I hate the holes. She even did twice one ear, on the one lighter hole it was a mistake so she didn”t press gun hard to release earring but still she hurt my baby. I handed in my CK watch for the glass face to be repaired and had to wait 15min for the info to be processed. I then left with confirmation that my watch will be sent off to JHB and I will receive a quote within 12 weeks. Obviously there seems to be a substantial difference in time from the normal worl and American Swiss. They quoted me an estimated amount of R4500.00 to have the glass face repaired. I had the watched priced and a new one, yes a NEW ONE will cost me approxamately the same amount. I have enquired on five different occasions when my watch would be returned to me and ironically I have been informed that someone would contact me – I am still waiting! I went to enquire in store on the 13th of March 2010 and was informed that there was no record of my watch. The lady who assisted me said that the only watch they had, had been there since 2009. Lo and behold, when the package was opened on my requests, it matched my description to a T. The service assistant informed me that I could not have the watch. I politely asked for her to inform a manager of the situation and to please call me within 2 hours – STILL NO CALL. lawyer has been called as I expect no feedback from AS.

I handed in my watch at American Swiss Forest Hill on 20 January 2018. Repair Job No: JC0112960001744. My watch had a damp issue. Once I put it on the glass part will steam up. I went to Forest Hill Saturday 17 February 2018 to fetch my watch as it was repaired. Once they opened my watch and I inspected it I noticed that there was damage on the arms (minutes and hour). Round spots like the silver has chipped off. The lady said she did not notice this. My watch is not in the state that I left it in. The front glass has also many scratch marks on. I am EXTREMELY upset. I demand that American Swiss replace my watch. This watch was damaged by them and I keep them fully responsible for the damage! I took photos of this and can provide evidence of the damage.

I lost a diamond stud on my ring and had it repaired through your Westgate branch in May 2019. I paid for a new stud and for all the diamonds to be locked. 2 months later (July 2019) I have lost the very same stud. Please advise what process should be followed now because clearly this wasn’t repaired properly nor were the diamonds locked. I CANNOT BE FIXING THE SAME THING EVERY SECOND MONTH!!!
