Looked at my microwave, turned power on and off, but did not do any testing to find out why keypad is stuck in command mode. Call America’s Same Day Service Co. on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 7:13 p.m. to request a service call. A gentleman from the 800-870-0193 number (who never gives his name) told me that someone would contact me to let me know what time they will be able to come take a look at my microwave issue. At 7:35 p.m. a gentleman called from number 443-862-4944 and mentioned he could give me a service call that evening, but it would be late. Then, at 9:39 p.m. the same gentleman called from number 443-862-4944 to say he was on his way. Once the service technician arrived, he mentioned that his name was Herbert Gordon, he looked at the microwave, turned the power on and off, then he took the vent hood off and said, “”You are missing your filter, so that could be the problem why your keypad could be sticking. I will check our parts department and see if they have the filter and bring it back to install.”” Technician Gordon called back on Friday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. and mentioned, “”The GE Profile Model No. PVM2070sm1ss did not come with a filter, I can come back out on Saturday (April 5 2014) and do some of the other test that I normally do, after I attend my sons’ game.”” Technician Gordon never gave a time. I called Technician Gordon on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2:29 p.m. to do a follow-up, because I had not heard from him by then. The Technician mentioned, “”My truck ran hot and I can come on Sunday (April 6, 2014).”” Technician Gordon again, never gave a time. I called Technician Gordon on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 1:03 p.m. and 1:53 p.m. to do a follow-up, because I had not heard from him by then, but I did not get an answer, and never received a return phone call. So, I called the 800-870-0193 at 1:58 p.m., and explain the entire chain of events to the same gentleman who definitely refused to give his name at this point. This gentleman mentioned that he would have Technician Gordon call me back, because he was the only service technician that his company had to do service calls. I mentioned to him that, that would be unnecessary, because I had been unsuccessful at getting Technician Gordon to return to complete the initial service call. I called the 800-870-0193 at 2:24 p.m. and asked the unknown gentleman was he going to reschedule me another service call since I paid $60.00 and did not receive proper service, or I will be forced to put a stop payment on the check for lack of service. In an unprofessional tone the unknown gentleman said, “”No, go ahead and put the stop payment on the check.”” After looking on the internet, I discovered that America’s Same Day Service Co. has had 27 complaint in 12 months, and the last one being February 14, 2014. I do not recommend this company.
