I received a letter to at my mothers address which was odd because I have not lived there in over 10 years. I was from the “Warrants Enforcement Division”. It claimed I had an outstanding fine for 378.00 and I had a warrant for my arrest. The town it claims I received the ticket for does exist and is approximately 30 minutes away. I called the police department and they had no records of my oweing any money. I do vagely remember getting a speeding ticket dropped many years ago because I went to court in person and witnessed the judge drop the charges. Besides, if I did owe money I would assume they would have tried to collect sooner than 10 years ago. Regardless, I do not have a warrant or past due citation so this is a scam in my opinion. Do you think if I would have sent the money to AMS and then found I did not owe them I would have received my money back? Answer, NO. Beware of these crooks!
