I purchased two eclectus parrots from Ana’s Parrots January 25, 2015. The female parrot suffered excruciatingly until euthanized on March 17. Her necropsy revealed she died from polyomavirus, which is wildly contagious and eclectus are most susceptible to it. I have no other birds in my home, and had all brand new bird items for my parrots. My male was unaffected. My veterinarian, along with the vets she consulted, believe without a doubt this virus originated from the breeder. .
