My family hired Andrew Stoltmann to represent my mother in a situation where an investment broker had taken advantage of her. The law firm led us to believe the settlement would be about 4 times larger than it was. He never went over his fee schedule in detail with us. After only one arbitration meeting, he took not only 1/3 of the settlement, but over $20,000 to “cover his expenses.’ He never once informed us of mounting expenses. I asked him to send me an itemized expense report, but he never did. It turns out he was as interested in getting a chunck of my mother’s money as the unethical broker was.
