Watch out! There is a guy named “Brian” who will come up and frantically start wiping your windows and dancing around your car at your local car wash (in the Phoenix area). He is a fast talker and acts like he is part of the car wash facillity (but he is not). If you have a small crack in your windshield (like I do), he will offer to fix it “for free, as part of your service here” with a small glue gun. He asks you for a valid insurance card, under the pretense of making sure you have coverage before he begins work. Before you know it he will be making a claim to your insurance company. It happened to me! Why if it’s “free” do you need to claim it with my insurance?? I was furious with the guy for pulling a fast one on me, and I felt scammed. He then told me it was $35 if I didn’t claim it. I ended up paying him $20 to get him out of my hair, and so he would discard my insurance information. As far as I can tell, the “Apollo Auto Glasss Repair and Replacement” is not even a real place. Furthermore, I am furious with Prestige Car Wash, on Scottsdale Road for allowing this guy to hang out and scam people. Of course two minutes after he was done with me he was gone.
