I hired and paid $700 via my credit card to the above firm on 10/14/2009, represented by Alex Hansen, to process a fiancee visa to bring my foreign fiancee to the US. In the course of gathering the information to start the application, my ” fiancee” refused to provide the information needed, in essence she had misled me to begin with, and so I was unable to process this visa application. After several attempts to resolve this, I determined that it could not be resolved so, on Weds 10/21/09, I advised Mr Hansen of this ( by phone ) and asked for a refund of the $700 I paid to him on 10/14. He was not very responsive to this request, had claimed that someone in his office had spent several hours on this application already, which I was very surprised to hear since all he had was my name and address and no other information at all since I was not even able to submit this to him via the on line form he provided me with for this purpose. I voiced this to him and again requested that he refund the $700 to my credit card since he had not nor could not perform the service it was paid to him to perform. He said he would ” think about it” and get back to me in a week. I did not hear from him so, on Weds 10/28 I both called and emailed him to take care of this but he did not respond to either my email or phone call then or since. I have called him several times and sent him further emails but he has not responded. On Friday 10/28/09, I emailed him that he needed to either refund the $700 back to my credit card or get back to me by Monday 11/2 that he intended to do this on a timely basis or I would initiate legal and/or other appropriate action against him, again no response. I sent him an email today, Tuesday Nov 3 as well as called him to advise that, since he did not respond or reply to my request in any way, that I would begin to take action against him for his refusal to refund the $700 since he had not nor could not perform the services it was intended for. Therefore, in addition to other actions I will take, I am registering this complaint against Mr Hansen and his firm APVisa for not refunding my $700 since I cancelled this transaction since, through no fault of my own, it cannot be processed.
