My ex husband and I purchased ARAG legal insurance “Family Plan” via his employer at the time Microsoft. My ex husband was fired from Microsoft for poor performance in February of 2012. Of course no one tells the spouse that “Family Legal” doesn’t cover the spouse for divorce. Ooopsy Due to domestic violence (and the affair he was having with my friend) I filed the initial proceedings for divorce in March of 2012. He responded in April 2012…thus beginning the “contested” divorce…two months after termination. My ex husbands attorney filed a claim for reimbursement of her fees through ARAG in Feb 2013 (one year later)and stated the date of loss in January of 2012…when absolutely no claims had been filed much less answered…and my ex husband had not even been retained by her office yet. ARAG has paid his legal fees in entirety…divorce, custody, domestic violence, guardian ad litem hearings, contempt, motion to vacates, superior court cases, etc etc etc. I don’t think they realize exactly how much this lawyer is charging or that she is lying to them about coverage to begin with. I tried to tell them and they don’t care. Thanks for helping an abuser ARAG! You know he is an animal and child abuser too? Thanks for not helping as well, Microsoft! I have had to borrow over 300,000 dollars just to keep my children and fight for what is mine because abusers…they financially abuse too. Give an abuser free legal fees and watch the destruction. .
