My partner and I, had the pleasure of visiting Ireland this summer, we booked a car over argusrentals.com as rates were very cheap, you really get what your paying for with this company. As my wife is pregnant I wanted a car which was comfortable, they rented me a 5 year old car with 125000km on the clock, there reply was its busy period and thats all they had. Shocked to find out I was paying top dollar sorry euro for such a heap of junk. I was offered extra insurance for damage reduction waiver but upon car inspection it had more damage than my old mustang. As we had no other option we ask if we could get another car but were told no thats all they had. They had taken a deposit of me and when I asked to be refunded my money as I wanted to cancel they told me I had to write a letter for this to happen. We took the car which broke down in the middle of nowhere and took 2 days before we were back on the road again with same car. It broke down again which wasnt much of a problem cause this time we were in Galway lovely part of ireland. Eventually Argus organised another car which was a bit better when we dropped the car off where we were told to my credit card was charged an extra 125 euro when I enquired I was told it was for the better car we got and extra day, I was so shocked as I didnt complain once about waiting around for 2 days but to be charged again it was un believable. We were late for flight so had to leave but when I was back in the states I phoned argusrentals.com and was told that you had to have a letter sent in before 10 days after the incident or your complaint is invalid. This has to be the worst run car rental organisation in the world, and I hope that anyone reading this will never use this site. www.argusrentals.com.
