Watch out for ASAP auto shipping. We placed an order for the pick up of our car on 10-18. We paid $200 deposit for standard pick-up. The approximate pick up time frame is quoted at 1-10 business days. They told us they were having trouble finding a truck to transport our car from Sioux Falls, SD to Roseburg, OR. They kept promising that they were working on trucks but when the time would get close, there wouldn’t be a truck. Finally on 12-7 the car was loaded onto a truck but we had to pay an extra $250. We now live in Roseburg but the closest they could get the car was Portland. The car was to arrive on Sat. 12-12. We get a call on Thur 12-10 stating we have to be in Portland in the morning to pick up the car. I have started a new job and there is no way I can call in on short notice to say I’m not going to be there in the morning. We have now paid the same price that the company quotes for guaranteed 1-4 day pick-up. The truck driver says we either pick up the car tomorrow or he keeps it on the truck and heads for Boise. The only thing we can do is cut a deal with the truck driver to bring it to Eugene, which is an 70 miles from us, meeting him tomorrow morning but it’s going to cost us $150 extra dollars. Now for that price I should have had next day pick up, for $850 the car could have been shipped in an enclosed carrier!! My husband will have to drive to Eugene in the morning, pay the driver, leave my car in a parking lot some where, come back to Roseburg and we will have to return to Eugene tomorrow night. That’s a total of 280 miles. We drive a suburban and gas prices are $2.60, you figure that out. No one answers the phone most of the time when you try to contact ASAP, stating that it’s their slow time of the year. They are very pleasant on the phone but this whole thing has been frustrating and a total scam. I have been without a car for the 3 weeks since we’ve moved plus we are out close to $900!!! Don’t use this company!!!!!!
