I want to bring this to attention to all job seekers in the Westchester, New York area. If you see any job vacancy posting from a company called ASL Marketing Group Inc, please ignore it! Do not respond to job offers or any other emails from them. I made the mistake of doing so and wasted my time.
So here’s my story. Though I don’t have a degree in marketing, I am very interested in this field so I decided to apply for marketing jobs. Some of my friends had been duped by scams posing as real jobs on craigslist but I still went ahead and looked for jobs on it. If u don’t ask for a job, u won’t get one right? So I ignored my misgivings and posted my cv on the site.
So 1 week back I came across this job posting. I had been searching for a job for a month at that point of time. I had never heard of any such company before.
The job ad read-
Entry level marketing / management / advertising / public relations

This ad makes it seem as if ASL is a legit marketing company with an excellent scope for growth and high potential. It all seems great, right? But I went to the company branch for an interview and later did some research about complaint made against it. That’s when I realized the truth about ASL. They had painted a rosy picture but it was all lies.
ASL has absolutely NOTHING to do with smart circle’s sports marketing division.
The job they are offering involves DOOR TO DOOR marketing. This does not count as an entry level job from any angle!
Owner is a person named Rich. His previous business in the retail lead generation was a failure. So he has no track record of success like he claims in the ad. His company has nothing to do with sports, only DOOR TO DOOR home improvement lead generation. He asks people who work for his call centers to lie to the clients. Moreover, he is a racist and has made racist comments many times.
The fact of the matter is- This is a door to door job where they will teach you to keep pushing a potential customer to agree to a home improvement quote. Your training will consist of misleading customers, clients and interviews. This is a 100% commission job with no fixed pay, no perks and no benefits. You will be made to work 72 hours in a week! You can say goodbye to leisure time and fun times spent with your family and friends. What sane person would like to work in such a job?
This dubious company is based in New York, USA. The address is 175 Clearbrook Rd, Suite 126, Elmsford, New York, USA.Phone no. is 9143474217.
Another person had a similar bad experience. In his case ASL Marketing posed as a “marketing firm” specializing in marketing to Home Improvement companies. They sent out mass emails to groups of people. Every personon HotJobs with a sales resume got an email from the company saying that they have been selected after a rigorous selection process. They were called for an interview where you were asked to join a Marketing/ Sales program which would later lead to a full-time sales position. This is a complete scam to steal your money as program fees. Stay away from this shady company!
