My daughter got her oil changed on 9/9/05. The next day the skid plate on the bottom of her car was dragging in the street. She contacted Xpress Lube at which point they said it was obvious that the skid plate was not reattached correctly, and told her to go to the Volkswagen dealership to get an estimate for repairs, which they would take care of. She received that estimate the following week and delivered it to Darrell (the manager). She made several follow up phone calls over the next 2 months, and received several excuses concerning regional manager turnover, regional office moving, etc. I finally got involved and contacted Darrell myself at the beginning of Dec. He gave me another excuse, but said he would definitely have a resolution within 2 weeks, and would call me directly. I did not receive a call so I called him back. He said we should have a check for the repairs any day. I finally called him at the beginning of Jan, at which point he would not take my call. I called the Xpress Lube (Chevron) corporate office, and found that not only were they not a Chevron Xpress Lube shop, but that Chevron was also in legal proceedings to force them to remove their signs that say “Xpress Lube”. I called Darrell again, and again he would not take my call. I was given an out of state phone # for customer service, which I called and found out that number was disconnected. I immediately called back and asked the girl who answered the phone for the owners name and number. She said the customer service number was the only one she had, at which point I told her that if Darrell did not call me by the end of the day that I would report this to the Ripoff Scams.com. This was about a week ago, and still no call. I am very disappointed in both the shoddy work that led to this issue, as well as the flagrant lies and misinformation. All we want is to be reimbursed for the repairs for the damage which they caused. John Smyrna, GeorgiaU.S.A.
