I had had this thought on my head to buy an Audi ever since I moved to Boise, practically everyone in my neighborhood owns one, and I wanted to join the club. So, I went to Audi Boise to look at what they had and found a beautiful A4 just perfect for me, but there was no one around to help me. I waited for 10 minutes and then decided to leave. At that moment I just thought they were busy that day, so they couldn’t greet me as I was expecting, but that was not the only time something similar happened, so now I’m sure that it was not the day, it’s them.
I was able to drop by again a few days later and saw lots of people waiting, I didn’t stay. The next time I went, there were no people around, but there was a lady at the front desk, so I asked her for help. She was nice and helped me set an appt for the upcoming week, which got canceled the day before. I was getting tired of playing hide and seek, so I decided I’d give it one last chance.
I arrived early on my day off, I was able to find a salesperson to finally show me the car. It was just perfect, he let me take it for a test run, and I fell in love with it.
That day everything had been so easy and perfect, it got me thinking that my previous experiences had been just bad luck, but after I returned from my test drive, they started showing their true colors. The man says this particular has a faulty transmission and they will fix it, but that I can start the paperwork for it in the meantime. I did, and the finance team were very accommodating, I felt like I was getting a good deal, I should’ve known that was for a reason.
After a week, I had my dream car parked on my driveway, ready to get to work with me the next day, except that, I couldn’t make it start, I tried everything, and there was no way. The technician said that there was a problem with the transmission, yes, the one they were supposed to fix. I took it with them only to hear how I was supposed to pay for the new part, and not only that, but I actually had to talk to their parts department manager to order the transmission for me.
They had me right where they wanted me, I ended up paying for the part, and for the repair, they refused to honor the warranty or even their own word, and then got mad at me when I told them I would contact the gm about their cheap scams.
Worth mentioning, I had to wait 2 months to get the transmission fixed, they returned the car stinking to cigarettes and full of garbage, I remember now, there was also a can of sprite spilled on the pilot seat and around 25K miles more than when I dropped it.
I’m not going back there even if it means driving to the next town over. I’m also telling all my friends/family about this.
