I don’t like being mean, but it’s not being mean if I just tell the truth, right?
I have an Audi A7 Sportback, my husband gave it to me for my birthday this year. The car’s excellent, I’ve had absolutely no problems with it; however, Audi is not to blame when someone just decides to smash their motorbike into your car. One day, this woman was sitting on her motorbike, making a delivery for what I could tell, all of a sudden, she accelerates towards me, and next thing I know, she’s laying on the floor, and my car has a huge bend in the bumper. The woman was fine, but she refused to pay for the repair, I didn’t want any trouble, so I let it go. But this is just the situation that lead to the great mistake of going to this Audi center, now I will tell you what happened when I went there.
I am not sure why, but the first thing the lady at the front desk told me when I arrived, was that my repair was going to be very expensive; I mean, I knew it was going to be expensive, but why should my repair cost more than a regular bumper fix? The guy who took care of me made it very clear that I was paying for a premium service, so I should be happy to pay more than what other centers would charge. I must say, that was just absurd, but I paid it since I was already there and figured that if the service was premium, I would be treated as a premium customer.
If there’s something worse than paying more for something, it is to pay more and be treated like garbage. I felt very unwelcomed when I got to the Audi center, no one greeted me, and I have to make my way to the front desk only to hear this lady saying that I would be charged more than I should, and she was right.
A man approaches me and helps me check on the car, he was nice and always smiling, but he insisted a bit too much in me paying before he took the car in. The situation was sketchy, but I thought that there was no reason to doubt them if they were under such a reputed name. I should have doubted, I would have saved time and money if I had left that place. But I didn’t, I paid for the ”premium service” and returned to pick up the car 4 days later. There was no call, no e-mail, nobody told me if it was ready or not, and when I called to check, the guy on the phone told me that they had more important things to do, that I should go there personally if I wanted to find out, what kind of service is that? After all the trouble I went through to get the car serviced, it would have been nice to hear someone apologize for that, but I never heard a comforting word from the mechanical team or anyone. The car had been sitting there for 3 days, it was ready in just one day, but no one bothered with actually telling me that… Great job, bad service.
