This was exactly 2 months ago, I was excited about my anniversary because my hubby promised he would buy me a new car, needless to say, it did not work out. My story begins the moment I entered Audi Norwell, the air was rotten, people around were minding their own business, and no one came to greet us as we entered. That should’ve set the alarms on but, I was just too excited to notice. We walked up to the front desk and asked to speak with one of the dealers, the lady there said that the only one available was busy with another client and we had to wait. She said that we could wait outside in the café area, and I remember my first thought being “Is this how they get people to spend their money even if they don’t buy a car?”
We went to the café and sat there for, I’m not kidding, 15 minutes before the dealer showed up. My husband explained what we needed, then he took us to this gorgeous Audi A5, he started talking about how this was the perfect car for us as if he had to sell anything to us. We patiently listened, then, I heard something a bit odd, he had stated that the car was brand new, but a few sentences later, he said that the car was only a few months old and had been used just 2 times. My husband did not bring this up, so I thought it was OK to ignore it. Big mistake.
By the end of his speech, my husband and I were convinced that this was the perfect car for me, I loved it already. We bought it right away and I got to drive it home, it felt just like it should. The problems started showing after the first week, I was running late and had to finish my makeup in the car, when I was waiting at the red light, a weird noise made its presence, followed by a strong smell, like burnt engine oil, a few blocks later, the car stopped and I was unable to make it start again. I called my husband, then he called the mechanics and they took it, said that the car was actually older than we were told and had been neglected for a long time, it literally took us hundreds of dollars and tons of visits to the repair shop to make it functional. This was my 4th-anniversary gift, and it got completely ruined by this corrupt, irresponsible man. In the end, my husband decided to sell this car and buy me a new one.
I did go through all legal channels, even tried a lawsuit, but my lawyer insisted it was not viable and I would just waste money and time, so I desisted. This is my last resource and I hope it’s worth something, for those of you looking for a car dealer, this is not your option.
