Under warranty still, Authorized Transmission will not honor my claim. Stating they are out of business and taken over by another company that will not honor my original warranty. I broke down last week and called them first. They stated they had no towing or recommendation who could tow me, as I sit in the middle of the road with a sherrif behind me. They further stated that if I took the defective transmission out and brought it to them they would give me a rebuilt replacement but I have to do the work myself. Now, broken down, cop behind me pressuring me to get the vehincle moved now, I had no choice but to call a local AAMCO and arrange for towing and repair. $2000.00 and 36 hours later I am driving again with a rebuilt transmission. I’ve since learned that Authorized uses rebuilt transmissions from Accurate Transmissions Mundelein, IL. who has recently been sold. What to do now? I wish I had some recourse.
