Lost Ripoff Scamss::::: NOTICE: This is one of over 100 Ripoff Scamss that was originally lost during the week of September 5th through the 12th. We have been UPDATING the original Reports from another data base 10 reports a day. This cannot and will not happen again. Submitted: 9/6/01 Modified: 9/6/01 A rock had chipped my windshield. I contacted Auto Glass Plus, and they advised me since I have State Farm Insurance, that I can get the chipped repaired for no out of pocket cost. They came to repair the windshield, only to find that the chip was to large. The repairman left, without altering my windshield. Approximately 2 days later, Auto Glass Plus headquarters called, and advised they would be out the following day to replace the windshield. I was again assured that I would not be responsible for any out of pocket expenses, and that the windshield would be replaced free to me. The next day, the windshield was repaired, and I signed a invoice indicated a balance of $0 was due. About a month later, I received a statement from Auto Glas Plus indicating I owed them $330 for the windshield. I wrote a letter back to them indicating that I did NOT owe this amount, since I never agreed to the price, and advised them I had been misled. I had not heard from them until a month ago when I received a letter from a collection agency concerning this bill, and recently received a letter from Auto Glass Plus themselves demanding the money, or they will reposess the windshield that they installed. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PIECE OF s**t COMPANY. THE OHIO STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! PIECE OF s**t BASTARDS! #6542
