I trusted Barry Franklin with the most important things I have in life—my family, my children and my property. Mr. Franklin said all the right things and with his family working at the firm….it made me believe him. As soon as he cashed my check, I was no longer important to him. What was important? Vacations. Lunch. Time off. Passing the buck to his associates. Oh! And don’t forget…CONTINUALLY ASKING ME FOR MORE MONEY without ever getting any results. Anytime I tried to discuss my case or have a questions or disagreement to how he was handling my case–he resorted to yelling at me and condescedingly putting me down. It seemed he had a problem or fight with every single professional we worked with. I should have listened to my “gut” but I thought he was a family man….Ha. Even that is a well crafted smokescreen. I finally got to my senses and hired another attorney who told me that he has a very bad reputation in the legal community. My new attorney had the case handled and over in a fraction of the time and costs. Afterwards, my Wife (now ex-wife) told me she and her lawyer had been trying to negotiate and be amicable the entire time—like I asked Mr. Franklin to do. SO not only did he take my money, he hurt my family and it hurt my children. I hope my story helps others. My Wife and I are now friends a few years later and I am still a little bit bitter that the majority of my problems were cause by the person I hired to help me.
