Basement Finishing of Colorado Springs, LLC

I entered in a contract with Brad Kline and Basement Finishing of Colorado Springs to do work at my home. At first everything went according to plan and schedule. However upon receiving the majority of payment, progress on my basement abruptly stopped and Brad became impossible to contact. Texts, e-mails and phone calls were rarely returned. When contact was made, empty promises and excuses were given as to why work wasnt being completed. After looking into the permits filed for work at my home I discovered he was behind in his payments to his sub-contractors for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. Upon further investigation I discovered his company had several other jobs in similar condition and an outstanding unresolved complaint with the Southern Colorado Better Business Bureau had resulted in his standing being revoked (F Rating). I remain with a partially finished basement, subcontractors needing payment, permits for work outstanding and little recourse short of legal action. I am confident he will eventually file bankruptcy on his LLC and avoid any of his contractual and fiduciary responsibilities. I hope this report will at least prevent anyone else falling victim to his unethical business practice.
