It has been quite a while since I got ripped off by Big O Tires in Lynnwood, WA but the fact remains that it happened and at the worst possible time. I just figured it would be best to inform other consumers of their scam. I feel as if I got taken advantage of four ways from Friday the entire time I lived in the state of Washington (though I love the state and its beautiful scenery). I got ripped off by BCTI aka Business Computer Training Institute, Big O Tires, and a company called Herbal Life (work from home scam). I am filing seperate reports on each of these companies (If you would like to read my other reports). The issue on Big O Tires. Their scam is to send out coupons claiming a great deal on whatever the coupon states. IT IS NO COUPON, IT IS A RIP OFF. They claim to give you dicounted rates for particular services but actually the coupon is no coupon. By using the coupon, you get charged more that you would without a coupon. This is my story on how I came about this bit of information. I was moving from Washington back to Alabama (where I live now) and I needed a 30,000 mile check up on my vehicle before the extended drive back to Alabama. I found a coupon for Big O Tires and thought (being a young woman and a bit nieve) that they offered a great deal. So I brought my car in for the check up and they did the work. I didn’t even realized I had gotten ripped off untill I showed someone else the bill that knows a little more about these things and they stated that something did not look right. So together we called Big O Tires (never said we had been there before) and while looking at the reciept asked what the cost was for each thing they did seperately. Guess What?? The cost of everything they quoted us combined was less than what they charged me with the coupon. When we tried to question this, we got the run around being told that it was a privatly owned business and had nothing to do with the coroperation and they had all family members working there so no refund of money or anything else ever came of it except ME GETTING RIPPED OFF. PLEASE DON’T GET RIPPED OFF BY THESE FOOLS. They don’t deserve to keep making money off of unsuspecting consumers. Melissa Foley, AlabamaU.S.A.
