In April of this year I bought a used truck at Bob Thibodeau Ford. It had just over 20,000 miles on it and appeared to be in great condition. The salesman was very insistant that the fact it was under warrenty still was a great thing “bumper to bumper” he said anything goes wrong with that baby you just bring it on back and we will take care of it “even if the cd player stops working”. Well three days later I went on a trip of 300 miles and noticed on the freeway the truck was pulling, So when I got home I called them and asked what to do?,The warrenty does not cover allignment they promptly told me. So I went and paid to have it alligned and have the tires rotated as well, thats when I found out that the tires had already been rotated because of the noise they were making due to the alignment being so far out. About 6,000 miles later the brakes started making noise, so I took it to the nearest dealer(not Bob Thibodeau) to find out what was wrong, They told me the brakes were metal to metal and the rotors were ruined it would be $480 to fix the front brakes and $200 for the rear. I promptly called the sales man who had sold me the truck who said the brakes are not covered under the warrenty, I asked if they had inspected and certified the truck before they sold it? of course the said they had. Next I talked to MIKE the service manager who said the blue oval certified program says the brakes have to be 20% or more to be certified, He then proceded to tell me that early warning devices do not come on new ford vehicles. When I replaced the brake pads and rotor I was furious when I found that the pads were stamped ford right next to the warning device that had been broken off so the dealer would not have to change the pads. I cannot believe anyone would endanger my or any children to save $30 in parts and 20 minutes of labor. Oh yea now the rearend is making noise. I wonder what they will say about that,I sure am glad I spent $23,000 on a truck so I can still pay for a ton of repairs and mabye kill my family when the tampered with brakes fail on the freeway.
