A couple months ago we reserved a hotel in san francisco and when we arrived we were informed we did not have a room!!! We were stranded!!! The hotel and bookit.com were both aware of the problem at 9am!!!… But they did not think to call and inform us at all!!! Instead, we arrived at our hotel ready to check in and head to the concert we had tickets to, but instead had to sit on hold for an hour to even talk to anyone, then they preceded to put us on hold for another hour! Meanwhile 2 other family with kids were in the same situation!!! San francisco was totally busy that saturday night!!!… Every nice hotel was booked!!! We ended up having to book a room at a one star hotel on our own for even more money than the 4 star we had booked through bookit.com!!! Just imagine what a one star hotel is like in san francisco!!!… Yes!!!… Cigarette holes in the sheets and plungers next to toilets… And who knows what kind of bugs we might have encountered!!! We finally got a hold of an agent who refunded our booking and said she would talk with her supervisor regarding a credit… However she never called me back… Even when I left her multiple messages!!! Then we finally decided to call one last time and nobody would get us a supervisor!!!… Instead we were placed back in the automated cue multiple times!! When we finally spoke to someone they offered us a $50 credit only if we released all liability for the the situation and would not be able to review them!!! This review was worth soooo much more than $50!… So we refused the credit!!! Worst company ever!!!

Thought to myself “that is a silly typo, because who would say”special only on Friday”then say not available on Fridays. So I tried to booked, but it kept giving me a daily rate of 192.00. So I called. I got a lady, who spoke to a supervisor, and said that they could approve it. If I went to the site right now it would say $99 per night, she said that the management changed it so it would take the special. I couldn”t get it booked on the internet so I called back within about 20 minutes, the sales person was not helpful, and basically acted as if I were an idiot. I did get a manager (Melissa, the Director of the Call Center) she told me that they had a certain amount of rooms that sold at that price and that they couldn”t sell anymore at that price. My comment to her was are you suddenly out when I bring the false advertisement to your attention. She said if I did book she would knock off $50, but that was all she was approved to do. Also there was another ad that said book 7 days and receive a free $100 American Express card that can be used anywhere American Express is taken. But guess what. When I tried to book the hotel for 7 nights, and the dates were available I got this message”This hotel does not allow stays of more than 6 nights for the dates you have chosen.” I really would like to save a little money now that gas is so high, but dealing with this company I think I”d rather scrape my eyes out with a spoon than try to deal with them. How do I know I will have the reservation when I get to my destination, reading the other reviews.

After finding a travel agency to book travel for 21 members of my family, I learned about BookIt.com.in the end, I booked my immediate family of 7 through BookIt.com because they were able to get a better rate. The other 14 members stayed with the other travel agent. I wish I had too. The short story is that once you book your travel and they get your money, they are useless to you. They don”t send you any travel documents (you have to navigate their website and print everything on your own), and I found out the hard way that they don”t request seat assignments for your air travel. (The other agency, and most others do). As a result I had to pay an extra $90 to get seats paired up, otherwise all 7 seats were middle seats spread out all over the plane!!! 4 of my travelers were children – 3 under the age of 8. For my return flight the airline could not accommodate me so I had to beg people to take 2 of my middle seats so I could have my 3 and 5 year old sit with me. As if that wasn”t enough, I spent alot of time working with the bookit.com agent on finding the shortest flight duration since I have 4 young children and it was their first time flying. I had an option for a non-stop flight from my local airport, but the agent found me a significantly lower cost flight out of another nearby airport that he assured me was non-stop.in fact the itinerary I printed from their website said it was non-stop with a total travel duration of under 3 hours. I found out the day before travel that it had 1 stop, and the total duration was over 5 hours! So almost twice the duration with my family spread out all over the planes. Did I mention I booked all this 6 months in advance through bookit.com?? They added no value, and caused us to take extra flights and sit apart. Try another agency 🙂

Be careful! When I started my booking online I entered that day’s date (3/23/16) as my check-in date, for a 1 night stay. Check out 3/24/16 to book Paris hotel in Las Vegas… Their system changed dates on me. So i immediately contacted them (a huge task) and I asked for them to please waive any fees due to their switching of my original dates I wanted and entered. Tricky how their cancellation reasons do not include error on their part, all choices were guest error, etc. I’m considering contacting PayPal for assistance. Beware!

Booked a 5-day vacation package online with BOOKIT.COM, the person I spoke with when booking the vacation was very nice, however, when we arrived at the airport there was no transportation arranged to the resort. My group had to find our own way and take the risk of being robbed by hiring a random taxi. Very nerve racking, to say the least as we had all of our luggage and spending money on us. Upon the end of our stay, we called Bookit.com to follow up on our transportation to the airport and the first person we spoke with emailed us a link to our ground transportation vouchers, but the link was broken. We called back and spoke to another agent and she advised us that the ground transportation to the resort was an added feature. This was very surprising as we were told that ground transportation to the hotel was included when we booked the vacation package. We asked to be transferred to a supervisor and when we spoke to the supervisor, coincidently he could not find our Booking ID, email or names in the system and gave us a phone number to call that was disconnected. When we tried to call the supervisor back, the answering machine advised that they are not accepting calls from our number and our number is blocked. BookIt.com service is terrible and we will never use the service again as they have no consideration for travelers well being and will say anything to get the sale but god forbid you to run into any issues and try to contact bookit.com, they will block your number and leave you to die on your vacation. This is my truthful experience with Bookit .com take heed.

Booked a family vacation for 8 to the Breezes resort in Nassau Bahama’s. What Bookit.com failed to mention is that there would be 500 high school students who just graduated that would be acting like fools and drinking all day, throwing up at night and show no respect for others trying to relax. It is sad that everyone took 1 week of vacation for a get together and encountered this. The hotel was willing to refund our unused nights but we could not get a hotel with 4 rooms on Paradise Island on during our stay. The Breezes resort Manager explained that Bookit knows fully well that this is the time period when 18 year olds take over the facility. The staff was incredible at the resort trying to make things right. Had Bookit.com just explained these facts we could have found a different resort to stay in. I will never use Bookit.com again and encourage others to boycott a company that misleads others.

Booked a trip on line with bookit. Immediately when I got the itinerary the flights were incorrect. I called customer service immediately and was told no problem. The trip could be cancelled and rebooked correctly. Seems the rep was having problems with the computer and kept getting error messages. After two hours on the phone I was assured I had the correct trip booked. After checking my credit card the next day I had $29, 000 pending charges from bookit and united airlines. I called and was told that all of the bookit charges would be voided and the trip rebilled. After three more calls to bookit they have finally credited my card all but $2688.88. I have sent them a message on their website and am on hold waiting for them right now. So far on a trip that should be $5299.99, I am still billed $7, 988.87. After reading all of the previous reviews I see that once my trip is actually underway I may still encounter more surprises. I certainly will not recommend this site to my friends.

Booked hotel on line. The site changed me from 4 people to 3, called bookit.com to advise that I needed to add a person as it was left off of the booking. They charged me.45 to make the change. They advertise a lower hotel price to get you to reserve with them but beware, they have the highest fees. It would have been the same to book with someone else at a higher rate per night since the other sites have lower hidden charges. They could not even break down the charges for me. I’d booked before with orbitz and they were great. I wish I would have booked with them but fell for the lower per night rate. The difference came out to only 5 less with bookit.com and I would have received better customer service from orbitz who were great with my last booking and even waived a cancellation fee when I had to rebook our trip due to a death in the family. I will never use bookit.com again. They wasted 45 minutes of my life and could not even get a supervisor to talk to me. I finally just hung up. I hate them and would not recommend using these scammers without any regard for their customers or their time again. They just wait to hook the next sucker.

Booked reservations for Rosen Shingle Creek in June for 2 nights, got a great $99.00 rate. My card was charged immediately upon booking which was as expected. I attempted to add 3 additional nights but the rate had gone up to $200.00 + per night. Since I could not get the same deal, I booked the Hilton on Expedia for about the same $99.00 rate, and used the bookit.com online form and canceled my reservation knowing that I would be charged a $19.95 cancelation penalty. I immediately received a cancelation confirmation and waited for my refund. I canceled on 04/30 and watched my account to see the refund posted. On 05/06 since I still had seen a refund posted I called them and the lady was very nice and said that the refund was being processed after waiting for the hotel to process the refund and would be posted the next day (Friday 05/07) Checked my account again on Monday 05/10 and still no refund, so I sent an email to their customer care email address, with no response. I called on Tuesday 05/11 and was sent to voicemail. I sent another email on Wednesday 05/12 and go figure, no reply whatsoever. I actually called Rosen Shingle Creek to verify that my reservation had been canceled with them, and they said that it had been canceled and I asked what the hold up was with refunding the money. The agent at Rosen Shingle Creek looked at the reservation and kind of let out a sad sigh and said “You used bookit.com” and I said yes. She said that the reservation had been canceled in their system and that they had nothing to do with charging my card, I pay bookit.com directly and they pay the hotel once my stay is complete, that the hotel had received no money from bookit.com, so there was no way that bookit.com was waiting on them to release the refund. Needless to say the agent at Rosen Shingle Creek was very helpfull, but did seem like this was not the first complaint that she had received about bookit.com and before ending the call she did recccomend calling the hotel directly to book in the future and told me that they can match any online price that I find and actually guarantee that they will beat that price. I work in the travel industry and deal with priceline, orbitz, expedia etc. each and every day. I was happy I found bookit.com and what was a great price, but after dealing with them and their horrendous customer service I would stay away from this company. I know mistakes happen and I am all for supporting the “little guy”s” but based on the overwhelming number of complaints you would think that this company would get it”s act together since everyone seems to have the same complaints.

We booked a transfer from airport to hotel, we went to the desk and no one was at it we waited around for nearly 1 hour and ended up having to get a taxi from the airport to hotel and pay for it. You were unable to secure the hand held shower head on the bar / wall. – unable to close / move the shower door – the room smelled like mold making it difficult to breath, – the hotel rationed towels. 1 towel per person per day. and was very difficult to to deal with if additional towels were necessary – the counter in the bathroom was covered with cigarette burn marks. – the in room safe was broken – tiles in the room / bathroom were broken… missing.. or in overall poor repair – hotel bedding, furniture and towels were visibly worn with holes / tears in material – water entered room when it rained – roofing was missing on building. there was only black tar paper on roof – pool area was roped off with yellow caution tape so workers could install roofs on builings – we were placed in a “construction zone” with roofing nails in the pools and on the walk ways – concrete walk ways were broken / crumbling / in obvious disrepair – we complained multiple times to different people daily. Bookit Advertised a members225 discount for 7+ days at any all inclusive resort. Great deal I have 6 people going which could be 3 separate reservations and a savings of $675-not a bad deal. When I went to finalize the reservation the code would not take. I called Bookit got Romero Brown who was the most disrespectful, arrogant Bookit Agent I have ever dealt with. This guy was going to make me look like an idiot by pointing out that Bookit clearly never makes errors and that I was completely wrong in suggesting anything of the kind. He explained that there are two Resorts that don”t allow for discounts and one was the Riu and the other Sandal”s. I asked to see that in writing and he quickly pointed out that if I would have looked for restrictions I would have found them on some back page of their website. I asked him to show me knowing I had already been there. Mr. Romero Brown says there if you open that particular page it clearly states that the Riu has restrictions and there fore they do not honor discount codes. Knowing there is nothing written I press on and ask him where does it show me that? Now you can hear his voice change and he too realizes there are no restriction for the Riu listed and that my claim for the memebers225 is justified. After another 30 minutes of “how are you going to make this right” Mr. Brown asked my permission to get this resolved and he will promptly call me back. I agreed but said to Romero that I sense that this is the last time I will hear from him and his comment back was perfect as though he was reading off a script… No Sir our goal is to provide the very best customer service in the industry and we seek 100% customer satisfaction” and he hung up. I waited the remainder of Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday and no call. Finally Monday of last week I decided to take matters into my own hands and call them again. After waiting on hold for 20+ minutes I was connected to a department that I thought could resolve the issue. Instead after reiterating the story again I was told that someone would call me back. Unfortunately that call stating that they would honor the $225 came 5 days too late and I had made reservations with Cheap Caribbean instead. Now I will say that I received another call (twice from a Serena) who was in a position to deal with this matter but since the initial 2 calls I have left her 4 messages and hung up 2 other times not leaving a message. Bottom-line I would only deal with Bookit in the future if they were willing to provide me a credit of $675 for a future travel otherwise Bookit is dead to me and to everyone i can share this story with.

Bookit gave the best package prices only to find out at the time of hotel check in that our 13 y.o. had to pay an additional $75/night and our 16 y.o. was consider an adult at an additional $99/night totalling $1225 we had to pay extra. When I spoke to bookit, they stated taht it was it was my responsiblity to read the hotel’s policy. The reason the other websites had higher prices was because their prices already reflected the hotel’s age policy. Bookit has by far the worst customer service I have experienced, long hold times, clueless staff, provided me with the wrong information, will hang up on you and I have been waiting for a supervisor to call me back for over a week. Me and some friends booked through them to go to puerta varata and I was unable to go and had to cancel my trip, I was within the time frame and should have only had to pay a 25$ fee. I expected the price would change and I was willing to pay the difference for my friends but they said if they took me off they would lose the room, which makes no sense as the room is already in my friends name. They told me to wait until after my friends leave the hotel to call and they will then reach out to the hotel dor a refund (again made no sense to but I did as they said) of course the hotel said I waited to long and therefore they would not provide me with a refund. I made a complaint and was assured they would review the call and if the agent told me to wait they would refund my money, this never happened. Nobody will get back to me to resolve the issue, every rime I call I have to explain everything from the start, they are rude, keep me on long holds and never provide a resolution.

bookit.com did not disclose refund policy, and then upon cancellation issued unexpected refund “fee” of $300. bookit.com totally scams buyers with a “no refund” rule. don”t buy from them unless you are 1000% sure that all travel plans are going to work out (ie., that you won”t be needing to cancel for any reason, even a death in the family). the website functions off of a small team of employees who strictly read from scripts and cannot be expected to act professionally beyond what materials they are given.in fact, they become very rude and unethical with you, the flustered customer. if you cancel, let it be known that you will pay two nights for a vacation you will never see. bookit.com never mentioned to us that there was any kind of cancellation fees on the phone and went on to deny this when we attempted to cancel our credit cards. they lie through their scamming teeth! also, good bye hard work and vacation! it really hurts me as a human being and a nurse that i lost two days of work over this terrible company. i lost $300 for booking and then cancelling a 5 day trip to mexico over the phone, one hour after booking. they will also charge you to cancel over the phone, so make sure if you really need to cancel, that you cancel via their scam ridden website. if you are lucky and cancel quickly after booking, the airline (which is not affiliated with bookit, thankfully) will be full refunded. do not expect any mercy from this business, they are a profit oriented contrivance that does not consider for any special conditions (whether it”s in the form of a refund or as special request-if you tell them it”s a special birthday, forget it) that the customer may need. do not expect any communication to pass between bookit.com and the vacation vendor to be received. i noticed this when we used the website before for a trip to dr, the vendor had no idea we even had a anniversary to celebrate. this is strictly a one-time shop and pay without hopes of return (or any customer service) kind of business. i will never use this site again for “good” deals, they are comparable (at best) to other sites anyways, and they have lost a good customer for their crazy “policy” for life. i plan to use expedia (who has never failed me and also has a reasonable customer return policy) for the rest of my trips requiring a flight. overall, a terrible experience and terrible customer service from some totally rude and low class employees.

Bookit.com is terrible. I tried booking my honeymoon with these people and when I tried to cancel my trip because I was going to go through Sandals directly, they said they were going to hit me with a bunch of fees. The customer service is basically non-existent. On their website it says that there is no cancellation fee, so I booked through sandals directly (it was $300 cheaper). I ended up having two flights. I explained my problem to bookit.com and the customer service rep was exteremely rude. After explaining my situation he said they were going to hit me with a fee if I cancelled or did anything with my reservation and I should have known better when I reserved my booking. He then hung up on me. Not only had I been sitting on the phone for an hour, but he said nothing to try to help me out in my situation. I subsequently called Sandals and they said they had not processed my flight yet and they cancelled my booking at my request. They were very helpful and I am glad I booked with them. I just wish I hadn’t booke through bookit.com. Dealing with them is not worth a little savings (and in this case, they were more expensive!)

Bookit.com was awful. I would never recommend them to anyone. We were traveling to Cancun & luckliy I knew to call & see if our hotel was even open (it was the grand opening a few weeks prior to our arrival). The first woman I spoke with said that it was open & everything was all set & when I questioned her she then quickly added that it may not be ready for our arrival. I was given email addresses & phone numbers for people that never got back to me. Then we were told we were staying at a different hotel each time we called. By far, the worst travel arrangement experience I have EVER had, or expect to ever have, as long as I stay far and clear from this company forever. I booked a trip to Costa Rica with them (based on good rates). Somehow, I managed to have a good trip at my destination, but no thanks to these guys. I had so much stress in dealing with their mistakes from the point of booking through my actual travels – thank god I was on vacation, otherwise, I would have needed one desperately from dealing with them. Here is a run-down on the countless problems I had: 1) Their web system defaulted our flights to an airport that is 5 hours away from our resort by car 2) After booking online, I called in to find out about airport to hotel transfers and they gave me transfers from the airport that’s 1 hour away to my hotel 3) 2 days later, they called me back to let me know what I paid for my transfers was insufficient, which is when I discovered their “default” airport is actually 5 hours away 4) They tried to blame us for the mistake, but I refused to let them 5) Thus, ensued a battle of about 10+ phone calls & 10+ emails to get “complimentary helicopter transfers” from the airport I was booked to, SJO, to LIR, the resort’s local airport (many of my calls, messages and emails were left unanswered btw) 7) Finally, they gave in and confirmed to give us these transfers and I naively thought everything was settled 8) I departed on a Tues. AM around midnight, had a transfer in Houston, and then off to SJO… upon arrival at SJO, I got the worse news of all! First, the “helicopter” we were booked on is a totally difference airport clear across town! I didn’t even have the name for it! Secondly, the helicopter we were booked on was CANCELLED!! We were luck enough to find helpful people who got us on the phone with the helicopter company (which was actually a small jets company, not helicopters). They were nice enough to send a driver to drive us from SJO to LIR, which caused us greater time delay & the need to suffer the brutal 5-hour car ride. On the way back, we confirmed with our hotel concierge ahead of time that the small jet was not cancelled, so we took that back to the main city, but had to foot our own cab bill and the over-weight luggage charge (anything over 20 lbs was overweight) from the jet company, obviously also unknown to us. I’m a little amazed we actually made it back considering all the drama. When we finally got back, I found out I got a msg from bookit.com advising me of the “helicopter” schedule change and asking me to call them back. I had already departed my origin airport over 6 hours ago by the time they left that msg. Thanks guys, really helpful. All I have to say is STAY AWAYYYYY, run & hide, as fast as you can!

Check other options first!!! I purchased a vacation package I thought was on the beach at sandos playacar riviera hotel and spa only to find out it is 10 minutes away from the beach! Although pictures represented people on the beach etc, if you stay in the “riviera complex” of this “resort” you’re going to be 10 minutes away. I called bookit.com to complain about this and the only thing they offered was a downgrade to a 3 star room, from my 5 star room in order to be “closer” to the beach. They did offer to change hotels for me. But I liked the accomodations of this new all inclusive resort. I’m feeling let down and left out in the cold and I know my wife is disappointed. This was going to be our honeymoon as we didn’t have a chance to have one when we married 3 years ago. So make sure you ask obvious questions before you make your decision! Do not book on this site. If at all you need to book with them, call and speak to an agent. We booked a trip in December for February. The website quoted one price and halfway through booking, I received a message stating that the airfare price had changed adding $200 to the price and to confirm if I still wanted to book. After some back and forth we decided to book for the following week, which saved us a significant amount of money. I proceeded to cancel the reservation in progress and book for the following week. Shortly after booking the new trip, I received not 1 but 2 confirmations for both trips! I immediately called bookit and explained to them what happened. The agent I spoke to canceled my flight (since we were still in the 24 hour window) and told me she was going to email the hotel about the situation. The hotel has a non refundable cancellation policy but she assured me we would get this straightened out since this technically was not my fault. Well guess what, 4 calls later and I still can’t get my money back because they are stating the hotel has the money. Bookit is refusing to give me a refund for a mistake their website made. I understand the hotel has policies but this isn’t my fault nor the fault of the hotel. This has left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Due to this experience with them the other 2 couples we are going with that were going to book on their website went ahead and booked on another site. That is 6 customers lost.

Do not fall for the scam at book it.com. I was searching for a good hotel for a disneyland trip 2010 spring break. I fond the hotel which was great, but then I tried to find it at lower price and got taken in by book it.com. I called the hotel after making my reservation through book it.com, just to confirm my reservations. However much to my surprise I was told by the hotel chain that they know longer do bussness with book it.com. When I asked why? I was told because of numerous complaints. I immediately requested a refund (The same day) Its now been 3 weeks, a dozen phone calls totaling 6 hours on hold. I finally submitted a fraud claim with american express to get my payment back. I caution you do not use this agent!!!

Do not use!! I booked full all inclusive package with flight to Costa Rica July 2018 come to find out the airport is over 5 hours away. So on top of my trip cost $4000. I have to book hotel night stay there and back and cut off our resort stay to 4 days which they will not refund to pay another $1700 for transportation to and from resort, and extra 2 night hotel stay by airport. Both hotel and bookit.com state it”s my problem that they had false information online. Resort that won”t help and is in partnership is Barcelo Tambor Costa Rica

Hello, I have rented a car online from bookit.com . When I arrived to malaga train station yesterday at 5:20 pm to pick up my car with my wife and kids, The employee at the desk seemed confused then he said that they gave our car by mistake to another person 5 minutes ago. That was because he had a similar surname!! They did not check the confirmation number nor the first name. Also he was supposed to pickup his car from the airport. Because of that we had to wait more than one hour to find another automatic car . We asked thm to bring the other person’s car from the airport they said it was not available! This did not make sense! At the end they found another car opel but it did not have similar options as the one we requested vw golf. E.g. No sensor no bluetooth. Here’s the letter I just sent to these guys. I suggest that you stay away from bookit.com. They should call themselves “tookit.com” I have just had a terrible time with your customer service group and will be posting as such to all of my social feeds and all of the review sites I know of. I unfortunately had to cancel a pre-paid hotel reservation of over $1, 700 due to family sickness. Because I was within the cancellation window, I asked bookit and the hotel for an exception and to refund as much of my fee as possible. The hotel was willing to re-book over $1, 000 of the $1, 200 that they received for the 5-night stay and I am in their debt; I will be visiting the area again soon and will definitely stay there. Bookit.com, on the other hand, chose to keep all of the nearly $500 in fees that they made as part of the reservation. I spent hours on the phone listening to hold music, and was told multiple times that “someone” would be calling me to help me out, with no return call. I was just told that your company will not be refunding me a dime. Not only that, I was somehow lectured about how this transaction is like hiring my brother to sell my bike. (No, I did not understand it either). The person on the phone even disputed the $ breakdown, despite my having a copy of the invoice from the hotel to bookit.com showing that your site kept nearly 30% of the entire fee I paid. You had one chance to make me a customer for life, and you missed it. I now have multiple chances to post the true facts of my experience with bookit.com on as many review sites as I can.

I am a former employee of bookit.com and I am so sorry to keep reading all of these complaints and how many people are still getting ripped off by this company. I use to work in their billing department. I was with them for apx. 9 months and found several system issues. 1st. reoccurring issue that I found several times in a week: You booked a package or hotel or just flight you took your trip 3-6 months ago and you see on your credit card statement that you are now being billed again for a trip you have already taken and paid for 3-6 months earlier. As an employee I was only allowed to relay messages from upper management to the consumers. Managements official response was to “tell consumers/guest to contact their banks”. Management will take care of the rest. Well just imagine how “HAPPY” the consumer/guest was on the other end of the phone. NOT SO HAPPY 2nd reoccurring issue You booked your trip and your on their “payment plan” your 1st payment is just 100.00 your second and third payment should only be 250.00 each. So your total trip should cost you $600.00 right? Well guess what after your final payment is deducted and shortly after you have already left for your trip and in many cases on your trip you see that there is another charge on your card from Bookit.com for $300.00 exactly half of what your total trip cost was “the trip your now on and have already paid for in full”. Again I was only the messenger. Expressed the consumers complaints to management and asked management for a response/solution to give to consumers or “guest” is what they liked to call you. Again I was told management would take care of the discrepancy and “have the guest contact their banks upon return from their trip”. 3rd Issue this only happened on the holidays. The night before a federal holiday IE: 4th of July. Their systems would go and “randomly” charge guest who booked a trip with in the last 16 months and bill your credit cards for the entire trip again. This happened on 3 separate holidays. On the 3rd holiday this 3rd issue had occurred I was out in the parking lot smoking in my car with my windows cracked and over heard a member of senior management talking on her phone stating “that it looks like we are not going to be able to keep this up more and more people are checking their credit card statements we are going to have to change the system to charge 100/10000.” I understood exactly what she was talking about only because of a pissed off “guest” who called me every name in the ugly book and even threatened to come up to the building and kill us I took it upon my self to look at the last holiday this happened and advised management it appears as though the system is charging 1/100 prior guest. Just randomly charging them. There were no consistencies on who got charged or the amounts. Just the ratio”s. I am not the brightest bulb but I am not stupid. After this incident and receiving the brunt end of the stick from upset consumers and than being brought in to “human resources” and told that I was using the systems to look at things that did not pertain to my job and trying to write me up for it. I decided to leave the company. My best advise to all who use 3 party travel sites is to use a prepaid visa or a card that offers fraud reimbursement. Print out your billing/receipt after you press the “bookit” button and keep this for your records for at least 2 years. They will try and trick you into thinking your trip was more expensive than what you paid the first time. I hope this information helps and was easy to understand good luck.

I am posting this review to let other people know how unhappy I am with the way my vacation was handled by bookit.com and the grand mayan riviera maya resort in playa del carmen mexico. I pre-paid bookit.com three months in advance for a family vacation package at the resort. After eight hours of traveling, I arrived at the resort to be told that they did not have a reservation for me and had never heard of me. Even though, I had all of the proper documentation and confirmations. After four hours of talking back and fourth with the resort and bookit.com, I was offered accommodations in the less expensive sister resort. After sixteen hours of dealing with this, I accepted the room, and hoped to straighten it out later. Neither bookit.com or the resort would consider giving me a refund for the difference. I call a day prior to departure again to check that it was all inclusive and how much would it be for the hotel deposit, book it agent told me that it”s included on the bill. I booked 3 rooms for new orleans. Canceled one and received an immediate refund to my ae. Same evening went on line and cancelled the other 2 rooms. When I didn’t get my refund I called and they said it was in process – couple of days later still haven’t received it and called back – same answer. Couple days later – no refund, another call and the same answer. I repeatedly told them something was wrong b/c my on-line itinerary didn’t show a refund was in process (According to them this is how you check the status). I finally sent a fb message and received an e-mail and it turns out I was right. There was a “glitch” in their system and the refund wasn’t processed. They told me they put it through – still no refund! There cs dept is horrible and not willing to check in an issue, rather they just give you a text book answer! And english is the 2nd language for their csr’s. Not only is the situation difficult to deal with but you are also dealing with someone you can’t understand and they can’t understand you!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!

I booked a hotel reservation for 5 nights in Costa Rica for 12/25-12/31. The advertised rate was $85 per room, per night for 2 adults, 2 kids. Several days later and after over 15 phone calls (many international), it turns out they had wrong hotel contact info and hotel did not have availablity. Hotel said the rate was supposed to be $85 PER PERSON, per night and hotel would not honor the booking. Bookit negotiated with hotel and this was their offer: Bookit would to pay a higher rate for us but the problem was they only had a room for 3 out of the 5 nights. They had no idea where we could stay the other 2 nights since all area hotels were booked. Finally, I canceled the reservation and am awaiting a refund. They charged my credit card, did not honor the advertised rate, and had no solution to the problem. They need to be held accountable for false advertising and not honoring the agreement with the consumer. So, we have flight reservations with nowhere to stay. My first and last booking with them.

I booked a trip with bookit for now Onxy in punta cana from April 23-28 (5nights) flying on westjet. Flight down to punta cana on April 23 was fine. When I arrived to to airport on April 28 (friday) I did not note any westjet terminals or flights listed on the board. It took me 40 mins to find someone that spoke a little English to tell me there is no westjet flights on Fridays. You can imagine how we felt being in a foreign country with no one speaking English or very little. I called bookit and was advised by a female this was not bookit’s fault it was the airline that changed the flight on april 27 to fly out on the April 27 cutting to trip a day short. The female also advised me it was my fault because I should have checked the flight schedule on the 27 and would have know it changed. That is a rediculas response for one I was on a excursion and had no means of checking flight schedules and didn’t dream my fly would be the day before the scheduled one and if that was the case I expected I would have been notified in advance and would have expected bookit notify the hotel and reimburse me a nights stay. I actually received a email from bookit advising me of the flight change at 115pm on April 28 as I’m dealing with this mess. At no point did I receive any notification that the flight was changed to April 27th. Next I called west jet and advised them of the issue where I was told that the airline notified bookit in jan of the flight change and had attempted to notify me but it was learned that the email bookit provided them was inaccurate and bounced back to them. The girl I talked to advised that the only flights she could get me on was flying from punta cana to Detroit on April 29 then Toronto on April 29th night, I would have to stay in Toronto over night then catch a flight to Montreal in the am with 4 hours sleep and then to Moncton getting me home on April 30 at 3pm. To me this is highly unexceptionable, I had a child and a dog that got sick and was staying with my mother that I needed to get home too. My boyfriend missed a day of work. I know weather can make delays but this is rediculas. I don’t know who mess up our flight but I do know it was not mine me. And I believe something should be done. You just can’t mess up someone’s life and think it’s ok and no big deal. I literally started to have a panic attack when I learned there was no flights and I would be two days later getting home. And would have to find a place to stay in a foreign country that I know nothing about and there were no west jet representatives even working at the airport to help. Also I have bad sinus and it kills me to fly and now I don’t have two flights I have four to get back to New Brunswick. I have booked many trips with bookit and haven’t had any major issues, I have never flown west jet but it will be a long time before I use either again this experience just ruined a great trip. Then on top of everything we get our bags at the Moncton airport and our suit case does not come out the baggage pickup then it’s finally the last bag out and it is all mangled. I booked a vacation with Bookit.com. The airline changed the schedule and the Bookit site said I could either accept the change or book a new flight. I spoke to a representative and said I wanted to rebook. She told me they would transfer the airfare credit to my airline so I could book the new flight. In calling the airline there was no credit to be seen. I tried calling Bookit again and could not get through their phone lines for two weeks. Finally I paid for another airfare and processed a charge back. I received a call from a representative and we discussed the chargeback. She apologized for my inability to get through and told me that they would not contest the chargeback. They did. So not only were they dishonest about sending my airline a credit, but also they are keeping my funds for the original airfare although they said they would let the chargeback go through. Their integrity is certainly questionable and I will not use them again, and recommend that they be avoided if one wants to be treated honestly and as a valued customer. Perhaps if they listened to their supposed ‘recorded’ calls, they would know that they are responding dishonestly. Instead, they appear not to care.

I booked a Vegas Vacation for my up and coming wedding through bookit.com. Everything was a go until I received my confirmation 2 days late. They had me flying on Delta when the vacation was booked on Airtran. This wouldn’t be a problem but the time they have me flying in 25 minutes after my wedding ceremony starts. I have been on 2telephone’s for a total of four and a half hours speaking to almost every manager available and nothing is being done to rectify the problem. They did through in the fact that I have to pay bookit a $100 cancelation fee and that I will not get any of my money back from the airline. This is supposed to be my wedding day! I’m supposed to be happy, but I’m dealing with a bunch of incompetent [censored].

I booked and paid in full for a stay at tahoe keys resort in lake tahoe, in february, 2012. Upon arrival at tahoe keys, I was charged another full fee for the same stay. Tahoe keys informed me that they did not receive any money from bookit.com and that bookit.com was only contracted to make the reservation and not to collect fees for this resort stay. I have paid twice for one stay through bookit.com while bookit.com has kept the money they collected from my bank account. I was not prepared to pay again for a stay that I had already paid for 3 months earlier. Do not use bookit.com they will scam you out of money and you will be left to pay for your stay upon arrival.

I booked my hotel, car and airlines with Bookit. When I arrived at our destination, it was not a resort, but a residential condominium with no office on location. I called Bookit and they found me another hotel at the Bilmar (which was wonderful). I was charged $285.61 to change hotels. I also bought travel insurance with Bookit. On return from my trip I called Bookit to try and get the $285.61 refunded due to their mistake, but they asked me to try to get my refund through insurance. Travel insurance didn’t help. After contacting Bookit for a third time I find out that I was charged a cancellation fee for the original reservation. Bookit refunded the cancellation fee, but would not refund the charges it cost me to get into another hotel. Also, the reservation was not in my name and that took another two hours to get our room due to that error. Fortunately, Citibank is taking care of this for me now. I do not recommend Bookit. I booked my trip in September – Breathless, only to get a call from bookit.com Friday 1/20/17, “Breathless delayed opening until March 1”. The kicker is, this trip is for my Birthday and I have 14 friends and family that booked with Secrets, cause Breathless was sold out at that time. Now bookit.com wants to move me far away to another hotel which is so far away 30min from my party at Secrets Wild Orchid. I”m so disappointed with Bookit.com they are just trying to shoe me off and place in a lower class budget hotel Sunscape then what I paid for at Breathless which does not have the same amenities as Breathless and Secrets. Granted the Sunscape isn”t and all adult only hotel an doesn”t extend the same services as Secrets/Breathless where you are able to go back and forth from those two hotels. Bookit.com told me that I”m on a cancellation list and placing me in Sunscape until they hear different. Well get this! I called Secrets to see if there was any open rooms, if they couldn”t help me. Joe told me that they allotted rooms to accommodate guest like me but I have to go through bookit.com. Joe from Serects told me that Bookit.com can go on on the back end to get me into Secrets to stay with my family/friends but for some reason they don”t want to work hard for their customers. I am so very disappointed in AM Resorts Breathless/Bookit.com as they both keep giving me the run around. Either company wants to step up to the plate to help me. What customer service! This is my birthday trip and so far its proving to be a nightmare before I even touch on Jamaica soil. I am shock to even be going through this situation with both companies as they both have proven so far to be very bad at customer service. I still am holding out hope for the outcome. Neither Am Resorts or Bookit.com want to own up and fix this situation. Is this suppose to be what their customer service is about when traveling? Makes me totally wonder!

I booked my vacation through your company online. I had nothing but problems from the beginning of my arrival to the hotel. I did not have issues with the flights or the hotel directly, just your company. The flights were as smooth as possible and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. It fulfilled every promise that the website stated. I booked three excursions online when I booked the hotel and flight. Those included deep sea fishing, ATV/ Ziplining, and a lobster dinner on the beach. The vouchers or website for that matter did not explain where the excursions were to take place or how long they would last. Transportation was only provided for the ATV/ Ziplining but that was a problem as well. Upon checking in with your company on arrival, as instructed to, we found out that the ATV/ Ziplining excursion was not even on your list and they had no idea when we were going to be picked up or that the excursion was booked for us. You then spent over an hour on the phone trying to figure out where the missing piece of the puzzle was. The people at the hotel even told us to double check because sometimes transportation does not show up for your excursions. Another issue that we had was that private taxis were needed for the other two excursions. Which that is ok, but the lobster dinner was an hour away in Cancun and that was not including traffic. The deep sea fishing excursion was ok because it was only 10-15 minutes away and was not that expensive. The lobster dinner excursion was all the way in Cancun and would have costed $85 for a one-way taxi ticket. That is $170 for transportation to one excursion that we were not informed of and would have lost due to the excursion being canceled. There was no other transportation available and your company could not help at all. Not to mention the fact that the ATC/ Ziplining excursion was that day and by the time we got back to the hotel we would have been 15 minutes late to the lobster dinner excursion, not including traffic and our excursion would have been canceled anyways. The excursion that was missed (The Lobster Dinner), was supposed to be a celebration for a five-year anniversary. It did not happen due to poor communication with YOUR company! I am severely disgruntled and am disappointed for the missed opportunity. I am requesting a full refund for the missed excursion due to multiple communication errors and circumstances around the event. Why would you book an excursion over an hour away from the hotel I booked at? Why was transportation an issue and not offered, if not at an extra cost, for the two excursions that transportation was not set up for? Why were approximate times for how long the excursions lasted on the excursions when you book them? How can you allow an excursion to be booked and not provide assistance when an issue arises with it? All around this experience was awful and I would not consider booking with your company again! I feel that I was wronged by your company and a vacation that was supposed to be relaxing turned out stressful and incomplete. We missed a dinner planned for our 5-year anniversary because of the lack of communication and poor customer service. For that I am requesting a full refund for the missed excursion! I booked travel on bookit.com for my boyfriend”s birthday. I found they had very good deals on their site so I chose them over all the rest, no to mention they had an option for payment in part up front and the rest before the date of the trip. I booked the trip in February, 2007 to Mexico. A few weeks before we were scheduled to leave my boyfriend found out his passport would not be processed in time to leave for the trip. I immediately called customer service to inform them and to find out what the fees were to cancel. I was told they could cancel the hotel and I would be charged $100 per person. Also, I was responsible for calling the airlines to find out their policies. The customer service rep said she would put a rush on my refund because I could not switch that money over to a new trip but rather had to pay for the new destination separate. We ended up going to San Diego on the same dates. We were able to switch the airfare money to another destination but we booked a hotel elsewhere. After returning from my trip I checked my account and the refund had not been processed as promises. I called to inquire and learned the processing on my refund had not even been submitted to accounting. I requested a check be sent to me as I thought it would ensure I get my money since the electronic refund was never submitted. I waited two weeks and still no check. I called customer service back and was informed they sent the check to my address but with my boyfriend”s name on it. Did I mention that I booked the trip and the billing information displayed my information? Well, the check was returned undeliverable because we do not live together so his name is not listed on my mailbox. I was told a new check would be sent out to my address and my name. Today is May 15, 2007, it has been two weeks from the date the last check was alleged sent out to my name and over a month after my trip and I have yet to receive my refund. If you plan to use this site make sure that you are absolutely certain that you will not be making adjustments to your booking or require a refund. The customer services agents are rude and they are of no help. They refuse to admit their mistakes and they don”t care how long you have been inconvenienced. DO NOT USE BOOKIT.com FOR ANY REASON!!!

I booked with this “so called” travel agency and have found that VERY FEW employees actually care about the clientel that keeps them employed. I have been a traveler for about 15 years, and in that time, I have tried to keep up with the times of on line travel agents. Just to find that they just don’t care only to get the “bonus” that entails the sale. As far as “bookit” is concerned, it is a waste of time as well as a waste of energy. My advice, GO TO THE AIRLINE”S WEBSITE!!! That is EXACTLY what they do! Airline’s charge, get over it $75 – $500 to change the ticket. YAY for the fuel increase!!! My advice, watch the Airline charge if you’re entitled t oa refund MAKE SURE IT’S CREDITED TO YOUR ACCOUNT!!! I was able to find a better air fare and have yet to see the fare difference on my credit card! It makes me wonder, where does that extra”refund”go? Can you say… Better Business Bureau?

I concur with all of the bookit.com complaints. My family booked the Crown Plaza Astoria in New Orleans for a weekend in March. A family emergency arose and we wanted to CHANGE (not cancel) the reservation date. However, they wanted us to pay cancellation fees to simply change the date to two weeks later and then expected us to make a new reservation with them. I think not!! We canceled alright… and found a better deal with Hotwire. Don’t use these people! No customer service whatsoever!

I found a great deal with a great flight on bookit.com, went through the booking process, but after I put my credit card # in and clicked “book it”, I got an error page and couldn’t do anything. 30 minutes later I got a call from my credit card – it got booked twice. I called bookit.com and was put on hold for 10 minutes 3 times each, only to be told their system was down and to call back.in the meantime, I got 4 emails saying my reservation was confirmed, but it was the completely wrong flight for more money. I called, was on the phone for 45 minutes where the guy told me airlines change flights all the time, nothing they can do about it, but he would have their flight department email me with other options. 5 hours later and no email, I call back. He didn’t even cancel the double booking! After being on the phone 75 minutes this time, I got my flight changed, but it still sucked AND cost more. I never would have made the reservation with that flight in the first place!! Then they had to cancel my other flight, but they hung up on me! So, of course I was on hold forever again, they said they would cancel it, but it’s still on my credit card! I was very upset and asked for an upgrade or complete cancellation for all my wasted time, but they couldn’t do that because it was booked online. What??? I tried 2 times to get a hold of a supervisor because the “customer service” people thought it was enough that they canceled my double booking with no charge to me. Ha! I asked for a supervisor’s direct line, and she told me that they use the number I used to get a hold of their supervisors. Wow, worst company I have EVER dealt with!!

I found a resort for an incredible price and found the booking was through Bookit.com. Considering the price was much too good to be true I thought to call before booking. Did so and spoke to Derrick and asked him to confirm the price. He pulled up the info, saw the incredible price, he couldn’t believe it either and wanted to check with his immediate supervisor. After a short wait he came back on and said the supervisor was calling the resort to confirm the pricing (strange I thought). I told him to call me back and said he would in a few minutes. Half an hour later I called him, asked what was going on and got the same answer. Some time thereafter, I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor, and after a short while I got a woman named Tiffany and explained the situation and informed her of the poor customer service I received from Derrick. She took all the info and checked it out and came back shortly thereafter to inform me the price was incorrect and “in the rare case” of incorrect data input, Bookit.com has the right to cancel any booking. Fortunately, I didn’t book it. A few minutes later I checked the same web site and price and it had gone up! Can’t trust em’ and advise you to be cautious, be very cautious and having read some of the complaints above, I guess I was one of the lucky ones, having only lost time. Makes me wonder about all those who have lost but have not complained here.

I had been searching for a great flight to New Orleans when I found Bookit.com. I found a flight at a good price and typed in all of my info including my credit card information and hit enter. The page went blank then a notice in red appeared saying that Airlines change flight prices and times frequently and that I should start my search again. So, I went back to the main page, re-typed my search criteria and the flight I had wanted was no longer available. So, I went to Orbitz.com and found the exact flight I wanted and reserved it. Then I checked my e-mail and found that Bookit.com had confirmed my flight. I called and let them know about the glitch and to cancel my flight. First they told me that all flights were non-refundable and non-transferable and then they said it would cost me $100 per ticket. The tickets were only $200 a piece so that is a 50% cancellation fee for a website that wasn”t working right in the first place. Do not use them. Their customer service rep was rude and sarcastic. Their website did not let me know in any way that I had succeeded in my transaction. The website was misleading and customer service was a joke.

I had booked a room at the Palmer House in Miami. They were supposed to open in March. They were not open in time for my trip. Bookit.com had the Palmer House make a new reservation for me at a lesser quality hotel. When I spoke to bookit.com they did nothing to correct the situation. I wound up spending 3 times what my room was worth. Will never use Bookit.com again.

I have already used them and almost everything was fine, except for their slow service. Recently I was going to travel and decided to book through their website. On the next day, I found out that my tickets were cancelled because the flight was no longer available. Since then I’ve been trying to get my refund and it’s been 3 weeks. This is not a slow service anymore, this is a complete mess!!!

I have been on the phone back and forth with these people, and have not received an email with my confirmation number and to book my room with all three parties they over charged me and never sent me the amenities that I supposed to have in my hotel stay. I supposed to leave on the 18th and I am horrified. I want to speak to someone in cooperate and haven’t got an answer as of yet.

I have booked a vacation twice through BookIt.com, first time I got stranded without transportation. Second time I booked a BUNDLE package deal, turns out they only booked my flight but not my hotel or my transportation, then when I called to resolve the issue they were only offering me to spend $200 more than the original to get a hotel plus the transportation. Then when I asked to cancel my package, the representative decided to tell me a certain code was wrong and that he can place me in a different downgrading hotel. The code was wrong for hotel booking but not for flight? B.S. its a BUNDLE DEAL! The representative was not willing to help, he wanted to get off the phone. NEVER AGAIN! I spent my whole day trying to resolve the issue.
