I have been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. I have a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am Licensed to provide counseling for people dealing with depression, anxiety, personality disorders and substance abuse. My style is unique in that developing a trusting relationship and a better understanding of their mental health and emotional issues are top priority. The ultimate goal is for the people I treat to live a happier and healthier lives.I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy(SFT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT) techniques. These techniques have been proven to be the most effective therapeutic tools to help people who are suffering from depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders. I also work with Couples, helping them improve communication and conflict/resolution techniques.I have utilized these tools in numerous settings including a private practice , a community mental health center, private addiction treatment center and in a person’s home. The people I have helped are struggling in their relationships, have gender identity and sexuality issues as well as personality conflicts.
