I view mental health as an approach to promoting wellness, not just relieving illness. I provide support to children, adolescents, and pregnant/post-partum women. I firmly believe that life presents us with opportunities to learn more about ourselves, even during some of our more difficult times. Each person has the power to make positive changes in their lives, and with the support and guidance of a trusted confidante, can fulfill goals of self-improvement. I strive to ensure that my clients feel supported, respected, and above all else, moving forward in a positive direction.With counseling, I specialize in anxiety, depression, autism/aspergers, self-esteem, life transitions (e.g., college and “the teenage years”), navigating feelings related to divorce, bullying, and loneliness/social skills/friendship dificulties. I also provide support for women and their partners/families during pregnancy and the post-partum period.With psychological evaluations, I have experience evaluating diverse needs, including gifted learners, children with learning disabilities and cognitive disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional difficulties.
