In 2014, I contacted brownstone to ask for help for my grandson, who was arrested in Virginia for assault, which turned out to be much more, an was not true. He was charged with mutiple charges an given a court appointed atty. who told us that he would NOT get a fair trial, we asked him to apply for a change of venue an he told us “THEY ” would not give him one. My grandson was made to take a plea bargin knowing he was not guilty of crimes listed on the paperwork. After him taking the plea against my advice I contacted Brownstone for help, I spoke to Robert Sirianni, I explained the problem an He told me that he would take the case for me, I asked him after explaining the problems with the case He said ” I dont take cases I cannot win” He was paid 18 thousand dollars for agrement to file an apeal on behalf of my granson. Brownstone then contacted a lawer in virginia to file the appeal . The atty in va. was not well versed in appeal law and took to much time to file causing me to lose the right to federal appeal, the appeal filed was dismissedI called another atty in va who researched the case an told me he could file only to the state supream court because Brownstone took so long in filing the writ of hebeas corpis that there was no chance for fed appeal Brownstone caused the problem because of time constraintes an using an atty who was not knoledgeable in appellet law There is prove that my granson is NOT guilty of listed crimes including eye witness reports of what happened that were NEVER used.this is a misscarriage of justice an it has caused much pain an suffering by all family granson had his own business an was doing well I could live with the fact of him jailrd if he was guilty but It is very hard to live with the fact that he is not guilty of said crimes an that fact is causing much pain an suffering by the family of my granson . Brownstone talked big but did little to help an caused more problems than they solved .
