Such was my experience with the doctors and staff at Brunswick Kidds. My niece had uneven teeth and we wanted to consult a dentist. But good gracious, we were cheated so badly. We are not doctors ourselves and have no idea about the right age when braces should be given or not. Before our visit, we had to fill up a long form online wherein we mentioned the preferable time. But when we landed up there, we were made to wait like nobody’s business. It was past lunch time and the child was very hungry. We had no idea that they would be so unprofessional about the timing and were not even carrying a small snack. The poor child was so hungry and then had to go through an ordeal. The doctor examined her half an hour, fiddling with different instruments and said that her teeth were in bad shape, she had terrible gums and so on. All this was said in front of the child and she got even more scared. These doctors made it sound like she was dying. Another assistant took the size of her gums to make the braces and it was a huge bill we had to pay the next week when we picked up the braces. From the very first day, those braces were ill fitting and very painful to wear. One night she was in terrible pain and was crying so badly that the entire family did not know what to do. The next morning when we called to ask for which painkiller to take, they just asked us to book another appointment. Goodness! These people don’t even have any mercy for kids. Much later, we had consulted another dentist who said that this was just not the age for braces at all. The child must reach a certain age. When her milk tooth is all gone, that is the right time to give braces. Imagine, those cheats!
