We bought a brand new Toyota 4-Runner from Burnsville Toyota, Burnsville, Minnesota in 1999. In 2003, the car had 78,000 miles and a perfect maintenance record. While on the freeway on evening, the car started to convulse and spew oil all over the pavement. It was towed to the dealers where it sat for nearly 3 weeks. They then informed us it was out of warranty (60,000 miles) and that the entire engine block would need to be replaced for $7000.00 and that they and Toyota were not responsible for the repair. I sent registered letters to Toyota corporate in Calif. I registered complaints with the Minnesota Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, but they refused to negotiate or repair. We bought a Toyota because they say they stand behind their product and this is obviously not true!! Mary burnsville, MinnesotaU.S.A.
