California Tires Wheels

The salesperson at California Tires/Wheels sold us tires and wheels that did not properly fit our 1969 Ford Mustang and only offered to refund us 80% of the $1,502.50 purchase price. When we first arrived at California Tires/Wheels, we asked a sales assistant to help us select tires and wheels that would properly fit our 1969 Ford Mustang. He assured us that the tires and wheels that he helped us select were the correct fit for our car. To further assure us, he stated that if, for whatever reason, the tires and wheels did not fit our car, we could obtain a full refund. The purchase was made with my Chase Credit Card. When the tires and wheels arrived, California Tires/Wheels put them on our car. We took our car back down the street to Mustangs Muscles & Classics where we are having other work done on our car. Chris Machado, owner and operator of Mustangs Muscles & Classics, informed us that the wheels were not the right wheels for the car. He told us that the back spacing was incorrect therefore, as the suspension travels the rear wheels rub on the inside of the rear wheel well. He called California Tires/Wheels and asked if they carried those wheels with the correct backspace to which California Tires/Wheels responded that they did not. We took the car right back down the street to California Tires/Wheels and asked them to remove the tires and wheels and requested a full refund. They removed the tires and wheels but said they could only refund 80% of the purchase price. California Tires/Wheels acknowledged, after we had Mustangs Muscles & Classics contact them, that they sold us and even installed tires that were not properly fitting. Despite this acknowledgement, they will only refund us 80% of our $1,502.50 purchase price.
