I was intrigued by the other report on Cambridge. i worked there for three years and was very grateful to the owner “S???” for allowing my child to attend this school for free and giving me the opportunity to learn about different methods. I do think that this is not a school for everyone especially if you are the flashcard, rote learning type of teacher. Thinking out of the box doesn’t exactly come easily nor does solving a problem but that is what is asked of you. I had a hard time at first because I came from a school which was really a daycare. i had to relearn just about everything that I thought that I knew and at first I didn’t “get” it but by the time my child graduated, I was so happy with the results. I think it is very easy to come on a board and complain but in defense of this school, I think not every educator can be flexible enough or have the patience needed. Is everythign perfect there? No and I don’t think that is what they want. People are pretty crazy and this industry is tough especially when lots of people like to complain and not solve issues which are pretty natural in a school environment. I’ve since gone on to work at another school as I did not have the new requirements (a four year degree in teaching to be a lead teacher). I do miss the school and wish everyone the best. The best thing about Cambridge is that they make sure the kids are taken care of and if that means firing a teacher, they do it. I just don’t think it is fair to be ugly toward someone or try to hurt them when the information isn’t factual. .

For those of you who are
For those of you who are considering Cambridge International School for employment or for taking their child to, please run far, far away, and never look back! The administration is crazy and extremely unorganized, and that is putting it nicely. They use bait and switch techniques to get you in the door, and as soon as you are in, they change everything they originally said in favor of their absurd and extremely unorthodox techniques. Speaking in terms of someone who has visited Cambridge International School many times, I have seen the complete lack of respect, structure, and organization the administration has for the teachers as well as the students. At first I thought I must be seeing a little hazy and not as clearly as I should. But the more and more time I spent at Cambridge, the more I began to understand and realize just how looney tunes “S” is. I would rather not say her name, but as soon as you step foot in the building you will understand. Again, never, ever, ever, enroll your children at this school, and for the love of God, do not apply at this school. You will regret it dearly and be miserable your entire tenure. Stay far. far, far, away!!!
